Finally made it! McGovern should be getting there pretty soon too! All totaled I had little more than 1,600 miles ridden since Thursday at 1:00. What a weekend. Thanks Joe for putting us up and thanks to all for a wonderful time!

Oh yeah... not a single thing wrong with the Wing, but what else is new?
Finally home! 1,780 miles total for the trip. Tallied up the gas used 42.27 gallons which averages out to a little over 42 MPG. Shocking considering the weight on the bike and that Brian and I may have been pushing 80 MPH once or twice (only on the highway) :hihihi:

Had a great time!! Bike ran like a champ!! :yahoo: Pics as soon as I can.

Gosh .... looks like a Great time , maybe next time , we can make it up there . . . I sure would like to . I have read all these posts ... Dan did you ride from the West Coast ???? an the 385 miles in 7 hours ... Lord , I'm not tough enough to Hang with you guy. . . :smilie_happy: . . . like the 1,600 miles , and 1,700 and something ... you guys sure are Tough . :hi: ohhhhhhhhhh, yes ....somebody should edit the pictures with you all , and put the names with the faces . . . just an Idea that's all.

For those not able to attend: here we are - SUCH a handsome lot.....well, perhaps not 'handsome' , maybe 'interesting' might be better.

and, like a good Navy Chief, you showed him your ID card and BS'd your way out of a ticket.....works every time :clapping:

He never pulled me over. He shouted out his window at me as I was next to him on the shoulder of the road after an emergency "All Stop!" His actual words to me were... "You were following too close to me for a bike," whatever that meant.

The State Cop was about 1 second behind a Chevy Caviler and pushing the driver to move over, but there was no room for her to get over. I was about 1.5 to 2 seconds behind the cop, so there was plenty of room for normal traffic, but we came up over a slight knob and there was traffic stopped in front of us. I had my feet on the highway pegs so I grabbed the front break and moved my feet to the boards and till I got stopped, I was right next to his rear door. Had my feet been on the boards, I would have been on the boards, I would have been stopped before he was.

Well I'm at the airport waiting for my 11:20 flight out.

A special thanks out to piper for all you've done putting me up and loaning your bike, so glad I finally met you!

And thanks out to Joe and the misses for putting up with us!

It was great meeting everyone.
You guys went out of your way to make the meet, damn some major miles were put on!
I hear we were pretty loud Saturday night keeping the early birdsawake, lol. Sorry about that but we were enjoying ourselves too much so :cheeky:

Stay tuned to the forum when I announce next years meet!

That is why you should set your tent up far away from others and all the action.

I hope you have a safe flight home Dan!

This is the flight that Dan is on over the middle of Missouri enroute to Oklahoma City for a two hour layover. 36,000 ft, 410 kts. (471.82 miles per hour)
