Calling All Carb's..
I've read Joe's 32/32 information on the dealings with the DFT. I have a set of 76 heads that I will put back on the engine that was in the bike originally. I think I will have the wife reread it to me for some reason I hear better this way. I'm glad that Joe has put it out there an sharing the information on what to do to make this 32/32 run for the Oldwings. Thank you for the share Joe  . I'm in the beginning stages of Firing up the donor come the 31st. I ran out of money had a DR. appointment more like a car payment when I went :whip:

These head gaskets I need to get yet to put the original engine in running order. I'm unsure on where to get them @ a reasonable price an what is reasonably priced? From what I gather them gaskets are cheaply made from the jump so why dump the money into them. Her is another question I have, the lowers I picked up were held on with a (you can only get them here) type of screws, Now I know there's gotta be another way any help here would be great I thought of just using whatever type screw fills the hole size. #6 #8 #10'32's. I will make a video the day I hit the starter button first start up. Thanks again Joe Really that's some great information..

Vesra gaskets I think are the best for the money. Most say use oem Honda gaskets. Go to Lowes hardware section for the lowers mount screws. They have the push in rubber expansion nut screws.

Oem's from Western Honda are cheapest I've found at a shade over $40 each. Vesrah's are around $30. I've uses both. Make sure you get updated torque settings.

the vetter lowers can be a *****...i use a 5/8" thick plywood strips on the inside of vetter fairing... one in the bottom to catch the three screws an one in the back to the end screw ...and some metal roofing pointed self starting wood screws to thread into plywood ...you can use your cordless drill to start hole if you need to ... the screws had nice rubber attached right to washer ...worked great and cost nothing ...as i had the stuff i used already ...head gasket are of poor quality..dosnt seem to matter what name is on it ....on the cheapest gasket they cant seem to adjust the left upper head gasket hole ...for years now they havnt corrected this ...but is it worth 10 to 20$ for the right cut on the hole...personally no ive used nothing but the cheapest produce

thanks for the comments on dft carb thread ....theres been such a terrible misinfo pushed about the outcome of just this type induction system ...like it weak and cant achieve the motors capabilties...when the opposite is true....the stock system is the one thats weak and dosnt get what motor can achieve...

my system get everything the motor can put out reliably ... this combo in a build is the top of the mountain to me as outcome .....and i am not trying to hide it ... its the classic way ... :thanks:

Thank you for the help on the lowers and the gaskets. As I'm sue you all know I work long hrs an it has helped make this a reality. The postman came over the weekend while I was working we are finally moved into our new building. Today was the opening we are having a grand opening party sometime in the future. Now back to the bike i ordered N.O.S. mirrors, grips, fuel filter clamp, Shift seal, front break switch, front master, front emblem, (over seas) side stand spring, center stand spring, removable frame section used, exhaust seals, valve cover gaskets, 78 owners manual, O.E.M. Vetter cigarette lighter. :music: So now all I need is the time to put the parts on the bike. Along with the load of parts that came today.. This is my update hope all is well on your side with your bikes. Have a super week hope it go's quick thanks.. :laptop:
