I just bought a 1978 Goldwing, so last night we gave the carbs a good going through, next will be replacing the exhaust gaskets, then sync the carbs and give it a good ride!

Getting everything checked out for the meet next month.

1. Charging good, check
2. Fork seals not leaking, check
3. No splits or damage in the tires, check (thanks Apple for the reminder)
4. Custom C5 wire harness soldered in, check
5. No fluid leaks, check
6. Lights all working, check

Not much left besides pack tools.

Wish it was this weekend.

Welcome from Southern California! What Slabghost said...

I added some antifreeze in the 1200 wing and took another ride to see if the temp had dropped. I went for a ride the other day and five bars were showing on the temp gage, today after adding some antifreeze only four bars ( normal for my 1200 wing ) were showing

i wanted to make sure things were good for todays trip. my niece ( lisa ) is going to ride the 1200 wing and I'm going to ride the 1500 wing, we are heading to north Olmsted, oh then to north Ridgeville, oh before heading home

Rode the Rats Nest to Springwood to meet up for coffee with other VJMC members. Graham rode his immaculate 82 Aspencade that only has 23k miles and looks like it just came out of the showroom. This bike was imported from Japan last year after being exported from the USA many years ago. The photos don't do it justice.
Other members CX500 and Matchless in the background
This Matchless was bought off Gumtree ( our version of Craigslist) for $1500 and had been listed for 4 weeks without anyone looking at it. The owner had to freshen up the motor and polished up the alloy but has kept the original RUST paint scheme which in my opinion makes it seem more original.

Just a bit of footage using reverse gear ( :smilie_happy: ) on the Rats Nest to get out of the carport without running into Ruth's Forester, the brickwork or the steel post supporting the carport :moped:

wow how nice you have it there .... it nice to have your home surrounding in a pleasant state ... it kind of tight there ...at ny place it very difficult to get around on bike no matter how easy ..well maintained ...or open it is ... the whole idea there no place to put foot down on level ground is huge mishap waiting to happen ......nice place

Thanks Joe. Luckily we cut the house pad fairly level so that allowed us to get some nice concrete area for the carport. Then there is some reasonable gravel to turn around in, park etc which is more slippery under foot when on a bike.

Went for a test drive today before my maiden voyage next Saturday, besides no speedo, everything runs out nicely!
