bad boy looks good
+1 :good: :moped:

I started it...and many anxious moments later, the smoke cleared and I pronounced the head gasket job a success...I hope! Never did a head gasket before, boy there's a lot of parts to move before you even get to the gasket! Oh, '83 standard, poorly dressed.

Went and looked at a 1200, but it was to far gone. Needed a windshield, radio, seat, fuel pump, battery, not tagged since 2008. Missing covers, might be good for parts. Not worth $500. I wish I had taken a pic of it.

Looked at an '85 1200 Aspencade last night, has water in the cylinder, but not in the oil, the guy wants $500, any opinions as to if it's worth it? It won't crank because the battery is dead, but claims this only happened a month ago.

rather good advice ...maybe squirt penitating spay in cylinders first ..and bs awhile and again before turning it over .... you had compression tester you could ck to see where thats at ...but a thump works good also

Just discovered my hid headlight quit so in went the stock bulb :(
Even with a clean reflector inside the stock bulb is weak man.

Did I read somewhere that you have the timer in your circuit Dan? How long did this one last? The cheap one in the Rats Nest failed and I haven't figured out if it is the ballast or the bulb as I had the better quality battery wired kit to go into it. You need another kit to figure out if it is the bulb or the ballast unfortunately. Red's kit is now 2 years old and still seems to be going strong without the timer circuit to keep the light on during cranking. If you are using a standard 55/65w bulb try and get a +50 or even a +30 as they are definitely brighter than stock.

This is the last kit I bought.

Yeah I was wondering how it can be tested.

I guess it lasted 6 months?

It's getting power so the timer relay isn't the problem. Really bummed about this.
Hid is so much brighter.
