Nothing to the 1100 but started looking at the 1200 closer and finding those little things that need to be fixed: wires for the horns are jacked and only one was connected because the other was dead and the wires were spliced with wire nuts. :head bang: Now both horns work and tomorrow I will finish the wiring correctly.

Rode mine to work & back today...first ride after being down for over a week with the starter problem. Sure was NICE to be back on two!! :clapping: :moped:

Removed dash for an electrical mod, installing two LED indicators, one is a gear position indicator where the OD space is and another will be a small digital volt meter. Repairing a cracked on the backside 98 clear headlight housing and modding it for dual 55 watt HID lamps and 7 watt 6000K white Cree projector bulbs in the outer position lamp housings. The Crees will be basically a Daytime Running Light as they are nearly as bright as conventional headlights, the twin HIDs will be on two independent switches. I see no reason to use them during the summer in Alaska, in the later summer and early fall yes because then the nights actually get dark.

Not a :sensored: thing today or this week it's either been raining and cold or snowing and cold, oh well time to re-arrange the toys in the garage for a different season :good:

Fired her up! Jumped on and took a 200 mile ride around South Jersey! Short stop in Atlantic City to visit some of my old commercial offshore clam boats docked on this windy day! 25+ MPH winds have really whipped up the ocean!

Gotta love this weather around here today! 56 degrees, crisp, clear, leaves turning, fireplaces burning...ahhhhhhh I love riding in the fall!! :music3:

BTW....the bilke runs best this time of year!!

Stripped the fuel pump block mounting holes,heli-coil here i come
That happened to me.
I found the threads were deeper than the bolt length by a good 1/4".
Put a longer bolt in and it's been good a few years now.

Could be mine had the wrong bolts though, who knows but worth a check see.

I pulled my dash out on the 95 GL1500 and with a dremel, an xacto knife, some epoxy and some soldering I installed a micro 3 digit blue digital voltmeter in the far right side of the warning lights slot where there is an unused hole, I just made it wider on both ends, epoxied the meter to the front panel after cutting a piece off the warning light strip so its flush with the strip, tapped into the ground and off the dash lights and now I have a voltmeter on my 95.

Made up 1-1/2 runners.
It was a productive day.

I finished putting my bike back together after 6 weeks of intensive TLC. It was only in the 40s but I ran her for 45 minutes. The bike was apart for awhile so I havent been able to run it much. After doing a lot of clutch and brake bleeding it feels so much better but I think ill have to do rebuilding this winter. So I put all my tools back in the chests and cleaned up the garage. Made me a nice space for my scooter and had soace to park my truck in there again. Overall it was a productive weekend.
