Gasket removal with Iso and scotchbrite, after an hour. No more debris comes off with razor...

He's talking about the snot suckers you use to clean baby noses.
I've been using one on jets. Works good to force cleaner through it.
I don't like sticking things into those tiny jet holes to clean them.

well hooch has had all oldwing carbs on him now ...its early on as I just just got it running ...things ive noticed is the slides will easy to mess with there outside the frame and easy to get too .....the enricher instead of choke is nice ....will see how good I can dial it in ....but in glad the 1200 carb rack works seems to be good :mrgreen:

well ive cleaned the spider webs off ...got the dyna all put where it suppose to be ....dialed it in ...all mix screws worked perfect ....dial in somewhat didn't get real crazy with it as dyna could use some tweaking first ...but it seems good........ going to go for ride in a bit ....this will be huge im getting all the low end smooth running ...hoping it keep up to the higher rpm ...I really like the carbs set up as in user friendly :yahoo: :mrgreen:

okay joe worked hard yesterday and before I could get everything dialed in I got rained on ....then while waiting for some laptop time I feel asleep till now .....so heres what going on ...the bike runs good down low but is not reving off idle good ...the slides and all are working great as when I pull the enricher jet or choke like deal ...it will rev so slides are not stuck ....

so this morning im going to check for air leaks ...im thinking ill get it doing right soon this morning fresh and ready

well I just got finished dialing it in seems to be better ...I checked for air leaks by speding silicone around horns to heads...may have help some ...it seem to dial in different some and rev better ...im going to do some yardwork then go for a ride ...will see ....it runs like it would idle and not stop unless it ran out of gas ...sure is sweet there

well I got my ribs wrap in a brace going back to work on the dresser ....yesterday got one heads done and mounted with old head gaskets to check valve clearance ...the head was cleaned ... all rocker arms surfaced by hand ...cam to all ridges taken out ....shafts in carrier switched to provide brand aew surface area for rockers to pivot ... ill try to take pics today if the pain isn't to much screwing around taking them it certainly was to painful yesterday to deal with it
