well today its time to test for valve clearance in cutouts of piston ...the heads are mounted with old gaskets ...fixing to time with old belts and test it .....after this if it passes test its on its way back together its been quite the battle but the big mod stuff seems to be ending and time to zip things up

ok notice the up mark on this one one is down  this is 180 timed off .... :headscratch: I had to changed it

anyway the valve cutouts all worked ...so now it time to go the other way a start zipping things up :clapping: always good to get to this point

Looking good so far. Pristine heads on what used to be a neglected motor. I can't wait to watch the rest of the build.

thanks guys its nice to be here .....these heads will come off ... and final preps for head install to happen ....seems to be cleaning up and moving nice so far

not quite tony just a clearance check with old gaskets before new get installed

Dangit Joe!

Take it easy a few days.
We need our host feeling good at the meet.

started back on dresser today took heads off and now final cleaning before heads ...sheesh looks like a day to get it done good the last of the glaze is always the hardest ....al you have to do is turn crank every once in awhile ...when your closr like this all high spots will be scrubed by rings and easily seen to show where rings are stil bumping over ....eventually you wont see anything ...and as things get close the motor turns easier and easier all the time ...so the last part is the hardest to hang in there on pics tomorrow im sure ..sheesh it was hot but handle it well yea for me :clapping:

Take it easy out there Joedrum. It is really hot out today. I usually don't sweat and it was drippin off me today just watering the garden! Hope the rest goes smoothly for you.
