gas was 2.89 here about a month and a half ago now we are at 3.69. 3.79 south of here. apparently it is the speculators that have some influence on the price. Uff da. :Awe:

Why is it that anytime the gas companies switch from making winter to summer blend or summer to winter blend they take that as a reason to jack the price? Greed!

$3.89 for mid-grade here this morning....it was $3.59 last night!

$1.58 Aud a liter today at the pump x 3.785 lts = $5.98 Aud per US gallon. $5.98 x 1.04 = $6.23 Usd per Us gallon. It wouldn't be so bad except we have heaps of oil and our pricing is based off the Singaporean exchange and you know that most of the cost is speculation not actual production.

Probably right from where you sit but we sit upon billions of barrels of oil our politicians made unobtainable. If the market were open for business even your price would drop. That said. It's now $3.80 for regular here.

...its all relative the price here is huge with no job ..your probably much better off than here ...where they steal all of ones earning in multitaxing of various titles. Far too many fingers in the pie.

Public transportation here is a bad joke, at best. It would take me 4 hours to ride a bus 5 miles to work, and the buses stopped running before I got off work, that's the reason I couldn't take the bus. Here, if you don't drive, you just don't go. We have no choice but to consume heavily taxed gasoline. But because of world trade politics, we can't mine our own to use cheaply. A family with kids old enough to drive might spend upwards of $500 a month just to get around and do stuff that needs to be done. And that's just gas. Not to mention vehicle maint. and registration and insurance.
