Using a graduated cylinder is an easy way to measure volume to ensure that they are both equal. I would avoid guestimating off the gauge on the bottle. My graduated cylinder measures in ml instead of fl.oz. so you may need to do a conversion.

1 fl.oz. = 29.562ml

Hooray! High school chemistry finally had a purpose and it only took me 14 years to find it...

Yep measuring your fluid works well, :good: measurement is a way to verify you didn't make a mistake, & possibly overfill. :hi:

This thread has been a roller-coaster of a read! Nearly two full days of reading, with hopes rising and falling with posts. Well done on the engine build, man! Keep on rocking! :rocks:

My head feels like a roller- coaster :good:

Note to self, while working on bike, don't get sidetracked !! I was rebuilding a front fork, and as you may well know, there are quite a few parts. I was distracted for about 2 hrs, (no, not that type of distraction, come on boys) and returned to reassembling the fork. I placed the bushing in the chamber and then realized I had not inserted the fork tube first. Now I have a situation whereby I must somehow remove the seated bushing I just waited 4 days for and spent $10 on.
I managed to fashion a very small (miniature) pry bar of sorts and placed a wooden dowel inside the fork chamber, which i used as a platform for the pry bar. It worked but without a domino effect of events just because I lost my place in the process.
Now I'm waiting for the new bushing to arrive and will very carefully try it again. :Awe:

Finally, finished up fork rebuild with new progressive springs. Excited to try them out. Also been fixing the Hondaline saddlebags which appeared to be cracked in certain areas. ABS cement and sheets fixes them right up, do not use anything else, it won't last.

Time to tackle the carbs now. Put wheel back on , went for a spin to see how the new forks handle and was pleased. Parked and noticed gas dripping from one carb, and that carbs manifold was cold. Stuck float?

Turn the fuel off and run it until it sputters then turn it on. See if it clears up. Best to shut the fuel off a minute or two before shut down.
