yes dave we were thinking of that when talking set screw ...reality is stainless steel end pipe is rather no go ...but I might use them.. but I am sure not going to try and drill runner end

I am sort of lucky here ..on the 1200 motor there are formed brackets that hold the what ever it exhaust after burner do hicky plumbing ..LOL I should be able to hold the runners down and stabilize the whole manifold set up completely.... so the runner problem is going to have other purpose to

cool, didn't know the 1200 had those thingies.
each different gl has things that help or hinder our projects. dave

this shows the runner chokes I am using this time ...they are 1"in length and beveled on the inside rather good no edges ... nothing really on outside ....

the set up of the runners are totally adjustable .. the first go will be these mini chokes ...witch are removable ... they could be bigger or go all the way to the 90degree turn at head ... and all this adjustment can be done while on bike mounted one at a time ... making the manifold as adjustable as carb ... im pleased so far :builder: :thanks:

the steel runners go all the way to the type4 plenum ... the rubber hose is long cause I wanted to use all I bought ... this turn out to be great move .. clamps wil be for looks LOL

today ...is the day to go to town and get the final stuff I don't have to get this all on .....this is where I need luck ....bigtime ...this job is way to easy for to handle LOL

ok its been a few days ... been working on the carb cleaning it up and all ... good thing I did I found a flaw in the progressive linkage ... there was a spring missing that keeps the play out of this linkage piece ... after this I went took all the springs loose and see what they do .. and I cant see ant way that spring can be taken off and the carb work right ... ive heard you can ...

ok to the pic the transition plate is mounted ... I use some metal screws I had ....you can see this tip of one sticking through the ply plate ...I was able at great pain in the butt to get four screws in transition plate its on there.....be sealing it soon

also in the pic I decided to ease the edge over in cone shape hard to see ....this is making for some very small chokes in length ... three m :builder: :thanks: ore to do
