Plywood won't soak much. And in this use what little it might will be quickly drawn back out.
If not sealed completely there could be air passing through it but I think Joe has a handle on that using some sort of sealer.

yep its fuel rated .. it will burn up good .... LOL its just regular plywood great stuff and has more purpose than its what was available ... It for sure wont come apart if all the glue fails from the bolts and gaskets on it ...gas evaporates quick from the wood as stated ... if all goes well I wil finish :builder: it not doing that till its worthy of it ..... :builder: :thanks:

cut the crap out of my finger sheesh after that I wasn't worth much ...I did get it running ...seems to be leaking air or super lean .. but after I cut myself .. I was in no mode to mess with it ... today ill try and see whats up .....

:crying: well I completely failed with the grab bars but it wasn't anything to do with the grab bars ... it was me ... I had it ... done really well .. and then got to cute and cut the flanges off .. I could struggle around and get it to work but I am not doing it now .....but failure sometimes brings out the best in you if you don't throw yourself under the bus ....

ive got a whole new deal going now .. just finished checking it out ... I will not post on today till something is done .... :thanks:

Hey Joe, before ya change stuff.. how about just cut some paper to go under each intake port, and mix up some JB weld and pour it in each flange while bolted to the heads, let it sit up and see if it leaks vacume! I have ran ported heads and intake manifolds for many years after i fixed them with JB weld. Your set up looks way too good to change it while it is this close! and the JB can take the temp at the intake flange! What is there to lose..

Success would be meaningless without the occasional failure. This is just a setback, and will only give you better ideas!
Agreed.
We all learn from this stuff Joe!

Don't look at it as a failure....look at it as just figuring out one way that don't work. :good:

I am not done with the grab bars .. I just made a big blunder thats going to take me awhile to fix ... as shovelking did it works great and I had that .. it was totally me not grab bars system
