Sounds real good Joe.

Just goes to show there are lots of ways to run a single carb and tweak them.
From small runners to big, to slipping in smaller pipe inside larger pipe, to changing the carb flows by altering it's flow.
Well done Joe.

As we build our own here, no matter how far fetched the ideas are, they do work and perform well and you have proven that even a carb which is generally thought to be 'too big' will perform just as well and possibly better than one that's being pushed as the "only" carb to use by Captain Midnight on the Saunders forum.

Hooch does sound good! Instant throttle response, and fast return to idle - very nice! :good: :clapping:

I noticed the 2 most important tools anyone can own on the seat - no wonder it runs so good!!! :hihihi:

I am pretty sure he's working to discount this one as well. I saw he was fishing the other day. Joe, that does sound good. I am about done getting my 764A's back on my schitzoid bike. After that I am going to try and duplicate what you have done. I have a 32/36 to try first. Needs to be gone through and jetted down a bit.

ive got on e too eric ... boy it sure looks big ... hott has made it work with chiiodawg bike and his own ... iseen where he was fishing at b-girl thread ...sheesh i am not trying to war with anyone ... me like you just naturally try things ...i try post and put up pics along the way so its very easy for someone to follow where i am at ... not hide things ....its very good that the schitzoid ..b-girl and hooch .. all collaberated in a way that we all benifitted from it it and all three live ... huge difference than hiding stuff ... like it buried in a grave dead ... most of it done that way is useless deception anyway ....schitzoid what a name LOL

Schitzoid.... It doesn't know what it is, multiple personalities. "Is that an Indian?" "BMW?" "Is that a Harley?" I've been asked about all of them. The best was when I pulled up to a light and the guy next was eyeing it up and said,"You had fun with that, didn't you?"

yep its been long road to bring a bike like this to road worthy for me ... sheesh i made some bad and good moves along the way ...and yes hardware to work with certainly aint free .. or id have lots more going on LOL

Hooch does sound good Joe but I don't know what you meant about it being cold. I was only wearing shorts and a T shirt and I wasn't cold at all watching Hooch run. :smilie_happy:
:good:

I was talking about the info being free, not having to use dynamite or money to learn stuff off other people's greed. I know how much it cost, I have a ton of money out in the bike shed.

well it starts to feel good when it gets close to time for long shake down ride ... hooch is ready ...might go today if i can ... hooch needs a good 200miler ... one of the things that make weber so good also has a learning curve ... now that throttle is totally controled by hand ... the hand has to be somewhat capable of more than just bury the throttle wide open ...i may go for different design stacks for the barrels of the carb seems like a whole new field here to play in :hihihi:

Sounds like fun! Have a safe ride Joe. :rocks:

ok new video

ok seems like i found something been playing with dialing in still ..looking batter all the time it seems

hooch has always acted like it needs even smaller idle jet than the 45 i am using ....it set as low as it would go .. i think ... it revs cleaner and hangs in at the top ... on the ride i took the power was nonstop to the top ... and clean burning and the secondary was nice too ... rather seamless and all there

:builder: not any more steve as far as i know i am really going over things ... been on several rides and have finally got a feel of what going on ....

took patty out on ride ... bike was running stout she was impressed ... me too ....

i went on several rides today ... learned a lot fronm the air stacks i had on primary barrel ...

so today was all about jetting .. the carb is way pumped up from stock now ....i am convinced now the oldwing motor hes the flow to work this carb ....even with the fat runners i have that are bigger than the type 4 kit uses ....

one ride i took with 140 gas jet in primary berrel upping from 120 ...also unblocked the altitude compensating devise and also the idle jet air they call it ...this was huge on my carb as it bought in some high revs with out interruption .. i know it dont sound right but it did what it did as of the moment with unblocked altitude compensating and 120 jet the ride was great ...but i could tell it wanted more .. so 14 jet put in and bang what power it had in the primary ...secondary was in there but again i could tell still wanted more ... so i upped the secondary jet from 105 to 120 ...i also changed idle jet from 45 to 60 and actually got it to isle slower some not much but right at 1000 rpm ... i am actually going bigger with that maybe tomorrow....

end of the day i am still righrt at the top getting better ... very good day here .... :builder:
