Thanks every one!

Didn't quite finish the rest (I was modifying the heat shield portion of the fairing to make poor man's heater) but definitely tomorrow will be the test ride day.

Good luck to you, wilcoy02!

Buttoned up everything and went for the test ride.

YES!
I CAN FEEL THE DIFFERENCE!
:music:

Definitely more acceleration. Goes all the way to redline, silky smooth.

Yesterday's off idle hesitation was me. I forgot to plug carb vacuum port.

The only thing:
I lost the head light. Looked at the fuse and it was okay. Haven't looked at the bulb yet.
But does it something to do with the ignition change?
Or just me messed up the wiring?

Congratulation on the finish..
I was just wondering about something, once you time it with the LED and put the engine back in do you have to do any fine adjustments with a timing light?
If you used a timing light would it be right on the mark using only the LED?

No, no timing needed afterward.
Once TDC is set by making the led come on, your done.

Thanks Dan,Joe. Are you saying the 1100 ignition runs directly off the crank? Cool if it does but I thought it was gear driven or off the primary chain.

Yes, verified with a crankshaft in the garage.
Right off the end.

Now ya just gotta find that "lost" headlight. Round up the usual suspects. Bad connections, Bad ground, bad fuse.

Funny how everyone wants to verify ignition timing with a timing light.

I asked PowerArc the same thing when i bought my first ignition and Gary just laughed.

Your LED light turns on exactly at TDC. Using a timing light wouldn't be any more accurate than that. Besides, most timing lights get confused by 3 sparks that close together.

Just get on, strap your helmet tight, and go enjoy your Honda as the factory intended.

Be sure to post on NGW forum (I was being challenged yesterday to produce a few actual people who use our system).

LOL...I am so happy for you Skiri. Good job sir!

Let the naysayers over there pound salt. If they really want an unbiased test. They can always buy a system and put it to the test. :hihihi:

Sounds like a carb problem to me! :smilie_happy:

I checked the voltage at the head light connector. I see 12.5V yet if I connect the bulb no light. I tried H4 and tail light bulb.
That means not enough current, right?
Why?

I guess I need to get the power through relay rather than trouble shoot this....

You don't want to know what I "wanted" to say, but i kept it clean. Maybe they thought we just invented this stuff yesterday. I haven't seen anyone demanding Dyna/Boyer/Pazon/Petronix produce charts, graphs, and free ignitions to prove their ignitions work.

There is a very good reason I no longer post on NGW, but I was just answering a question someone asked about our company.

I can plainly see that CGW is blessed with people who want to improve their ride, not sit around and slam new products for no reason. I am probably just as excited to see Skiri and Wes install their system as anyone. I love being involved in helping people improve their motorcycle.

Maybe that's why Dan asked me to join? He is the same way!
