Yep, your feeling the indescribable difference that only you can feel by the before and after on your bike.
Nice isn't it!?

Dan,

You thought I was kinda nuts when I first told you the feeling cannot be described.
Then Joe said he felt it, then you did, now Skiri.
Wes will soon feel it as well.

The entire "tone?" of the bike is different. It sounds different as well. I am not the only crazy one here anymore.

I cant sleep now!! :yahoo:

Hey Skiri, did you re-connect the green ground wire when you installed the coils? Sounds like the headlight isn't getting a good ground.

Good idea! I screwed that up myself at least once. It has a small gold colored eyelet and will be close to the rear of the stock coil if i remember. Here is a shot I took when installing our prototype. This is the rear of the new coil.

Yes I did. That eye is between the new bracket and the frame.

I will draw a temporary ground wire to the headlight and see.

Yeeesh..Cheer up, Paul....it'll be otay....

:smilie_happy: :hihihi: :smilie_happy:

I'm sure glad this whole deal is turning out so well, for those that have installed it, as well as those of us that WANT to! I'm giddy just looking at the amazing results being posted.. :rocks:

Yes, the true potential of this ignition in my eye's, for the 1000 and 1100 anyway, has not been truly realized just yet.

Paul and I talk A LOT on the phone. Text back and forth too.
Some of the things he's told me about this ignition being installed on other vehicles (both cars and motorcycles) is simply amazing.
He's related much of the history that's gone into the development of it. Of course there are trade secrets he won't tell me and there are more that Gary at PowerArc won't tell him but bottom line is this thing is so advanced, there is no other like it on the market with it's capabilities.

There are racers fighting with ignition issues every day.
One guy running a super charged gl1000 has gone through 3 Dyna coils, he recently contacted Paul and Paul has nailed the exact cause of these failures and the C5 with it's coil pack will handle the problem.
You can imagine in a race environment what detrimental effects a sloppy spark would have on an engine.

This technology really is the most advanced.
Some that can not or will not allow themselves to be open minded enough and close their eye's to this superior technology are only cheating themselves.

Anyone that want's to buy this ignition should contact Paul.
Talk to him on the phone.
There is so much information he can give you in that call that's hard to relate in a typed post.
He may even be able to work out a payment plan too.

Wull, yeah....ONE easy payment, 0 interest, no down.... :Doh2:

I've been very impressed with Paul's info posted here, and the answers to the questions asked of him...especially MINE....

Just for the completeness:

It turned out the culprit was a starter button switch. Totally unrelated to stator replacement and C5 installation.
Head light power goes through it as normally closed, open only when the button is pushed.
I had an intermittent starter button malfunction a few months ago and band-aided it with a spray of electrical cleaner.
It came back right after the engine install to confuse me.

So this time, I did a complete rebuild of that switch.
Oh man, what a tiny bitty stuff in there.
If I sneeze, I am sure I will lose them.

So finally my Oldwing is complete and I also replaced dog bone fuses with modern blade type.

Now she's ready for the real ride!
