Hello, I look forward to learning from those who've gone before me! I just bent all my valves putting my 86 GL1200 heads on wrong by not paying attention to cam position first. Now I'm paying the penalty for that. Live and learn. I was surprised to see that Honda doesn't make that valve anymore! Are any new valves available?

That's unfortunate. A replacement engine would do you some good.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. I test rode my '86 GL1200 on Thanksgiving day for the first time. Ran and drove perfectly. I've had to store it for winter but it's ready to go in the spring.

Welcome! Double-check that those valves don't cross-reference to any other motors in the Honda range, or even automotive. I've seen weird stuff like that before with other vehicles. . .
