Looks great; :good: Reconsidering painting at least one mine, if rattle can paint looks that good.

If this 2k from Eastwood holds up Denver I'm already eyeing my 90 Aspy and sidecar. Thinking maybe a dark cherry metallic. But first I gotta get the 84 finished.

Mine is a blue black metal flake, saw it on a piece of a wing a while back, & if they make it in a rattle can, might try again, as its been 30+ years since trying before. Was not too pleased, as orange peel in a black paint job, leaves much to be desired. But just black, on the other standard, looks so much better than the wine berry color, & that blue black metal flake could look great on it. :good:

You know you can get any color put in a spray can now. Some paint shops will do it for you. Painting a bike is a lot easier today than back when we first started riding.

Finally all done. Paint turned out great. Wife loves the color. (she picked it out) Here's everything I did to the bike. New paint, new fork seals, new timing belts, new spark plugs, oil change, new brake pads all around, flushed front and rear brake lines, new front brake master cylinder and rebuilt rear brake caliper. Also repaired several cracks in the plastic on different pieces before paint.

Getting state inspection done sometime this week. The following week headed down home to Hambleton W,Va. A 600 mile round trip. Should shake out any bugs on that haul.

Next up to keep me busy...........viewtopic.php?f=18&t=9663

The windshield garnish looks great painted.

~O~

Thanks, Wasn't sure about putting color above the headlight but figured if it didn't look good I'd strip it off. Also did the mirrors to match. I think it gives the bike a newer look.

That bike looks amazing for a rattle can paint job. Question, how did you prep to chrome on the mirrors for paint?

Thanks OldWrench. The mirrors were not chrome. They were painted black so prep was easy. Sand, primer, sand, color coat, very light sand then clear coat with 2k. Came out so glossy I didn't touch the clear.
