Well...I bought it in '08. Original tire lasted 2 years....and since then, at least one a year. You do da math... :cheeky:
I remember at least 2 Dunlops, two Bridgestones, and another Dunlop.

New Shinko Tourmaster is now installed on the rear.

Annnnd...less than a calendar year later, I just ordered another rear tire.... :crying: Little over 8100 miles on the Tourmaster, and it's done. No holes poked in it this time, no cracks, just slap worn out. I ordered another Shinko Tourmaster to replace it, even tho I wasn't happy about the wobbly feeling they gave me. The wobble DID get less as the tire wore, tho.

:headscratch: Wobbly feeling? Shinko makes radials I think in tour master too. I just ordered a pair of the radials for the Valk. If yours aren't radials and you get a wobbly feeling you might try another lb or two of air pressure.

Joel, my days of poking fun at your tire woes are over. It may not be proper but I'm going to say a little prayer for you to find peace in this matter. I still think it's those God forsaken Texas roads you are martyred with, I remember them well.

8000 miles is 2000 miles more than I got out of my first rear 230 and I expect less than that on the current one due to Aussie roads, the DD and my throttle grip. The worse part for me is that I pay more for one tire here than a set from American Moto Tire in the US. No squirming or handling issues ( especially wet weather) for me with the Shinko 230s but I do run 42 psi in my rear tires :yes:

Know what you mean Joel! Just got back from doing about 2400 miles roundtrip towing a trailer to Florida and back and those hot roads seem to really pull the rubber off the tires. Just got back and I am seeing the wear bars on my rear tire almost equal with the tread. Stinkin Bridgestones!! Looks like I will only get about 13,000 miles out of this one! :whip: :hihihi:

I am not saying anything any more about another person's tire woe's! I just put new tires on the 1200 (front and rear) and a new rear on the 1100. I don't need any of that bad juju! :beg:
