my first post on this forum. what is the purpose of this subject ?
i would really like to upgrade my old ignition. just because it is old.
a first read of this subject here , the author asks for input... then it seems he has built one 2 years ago ?
and has no time to post any findings or even parts used such as the type of coils etc. ???
hopefully , we dont wait too long.

I like this guy! :smilie_happy:
Me too!

Welcome to the forum... you might want to pack a lunch.

Well here is my 2 cents on the matter.

I have ran Dyna pickups for they were installed on the bike. and I also head good things about there coils. Now after many years of the pickups being in the bike it had finally failed but intermitenly causing me to lose sleep on where the problem really was, was it the coils or was it the bla bla. For me when time permits I too will upgrade to the C5 system for the simple fact the coils don't need to be running all the time persay. But for now I will run my Accel coils they have WAY fatter spark. The Dyna coils IMO are NFG. I also bypassed the wiring harness with a relay tied into the power wire from the coil to the low side of relay new leads into the coils direct feed from the battery still under kill switch control. :whip:

Altered induction is dead. Is there an emoticon that plays taps?

a lot of questions with no answers. Maybe someone needs to kick start the ideas...

Gee now there's a shock. NOT!

I don't log in from my phone, but it sounds like his conversions that need no fine tuning may need just that...

(Cm quote)
I've catalogued each set with meticulous notes that include conversion specifics. Alot of that early was just rich no matter what I did..

hmmm. the goldwingrascal asked some pertinent questions directed at private bonehead.

PS this is my thread here ill post anything i want .. :yahoo: :smilie_happy:

All name calling aside, (which is getting very old) it's funny to read that he's endorsing the C5 now after ripping it to pieces in other topics on that forum.
Any post getting the word out making the C5 known to more people is after all, good.

The one thing that has caught my attention is the lack of support from the community for cm85. For a member that has 11,500+ posts only one member has defended him, AZgl1800.

There must be a huge chunk of that enormous community that is just as fed up as we and the other forums are with his indefensible claims.

He may have just lost all credibility online.

after another read of this and several other threads in the same vein,
i tend to agree. a bit of a search for CM here and ( more interestingly)
on other web sites does not paint a pretty picture.
one very popular site even has one whole thread dedicated to the originator . ( less than favorable views , it has to be said )
so, time will tell if there is any substance here.
