The '84 1200 used rear pulsers like the 1100, but without any advance mechanisms - it was electronically controlled. '85 and later used pickup coils on the front crank and electronic ignition. The 1100 C5 should work on the '84 1200, Dan's about to make history!
 
1100 is out of the frame.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but are you changing the belts in the 1200?
Not until I run it through a few heat cycles to make sure everything inside is good, gears etc.
 
The test mule lives once again!

This 1984 1200 bolted right in to all the 1100 mounts with the exception of the exhaust.
The rear 1100 hanger brackets line up with the center of the frame.
I have them removed for now. Will be modifying them.

Lot's to do yet.

Hook up regulator.
Mod muffler brackets.
Have a C5 drive stud made. This one aint gonna cut it.
Etc.

And yeah...ya might wanna find something different for the C5 drive....that one looks a widdle wobbly....but it werks! :party: :clapping: :yahoo:
