Today's update. Spent some time yesterday replacing the ballast in one of my 8' florescent lights in the garage. Then Mama decided we needed to go run around antiquing....so no actual work done on the Turd. :nea:
Today I went and bought new bulbs for ALL of the florescent lights in the garage , and installed them. I CAN SEE!!! :yahoo:  With the cold weather coming on, I need to be able to be out there with the door closed. With only ONE of the 4 lights working, it was not happening. Now, I am completely bathed in bright light while I work. :good:
Got both heads torn back down, and the new valve seals installed....again, and the cams installed with new cam seals.
Cut a gasket for the chrome rear cover on the left side head.
Did a small amount of polishing on one of the valve covers, trying to decide if I want to paint them, or polish them. Think I'm going with the polished look....just looks so purdy all shined up.
I am going to paint the engine block black, and the bolt on stuff(trans/clutch covers, etc) with Cast Blast aluminuminum. Water crossover tubes and t-stat housing will be Stainless Steel paint, for a nice contrast. Taking my time...no real hurry. :builder:
