Perhaps Jungo has some trouble with tribbles? :hihihi:

Sounds like things are looking up, anyway. Don't get discouraged, Jungo. I've been right where you are meself, as have others here. Slow and steady is the right way to do this....stay the course, Mr. Sulu.... :clapping:

Absolutely. How much easier do these forums make working on bikes when you can meet people like Dan! Must have been hard before the Internet

I'll second that!! Dan was a huge help for me when I was going thru my hair pulling, hammer chunking, foul language laced issues last summer....as was the rest of this forum. Live Long and Prosper, CGW!! :clapping:

Well, while we are waiting on the results, we can watch this:

That's hysterical !!! Eduard will live on (you-tube) forever !!

It would be great if they were a non interference engine then we wouldn't have a piston valve issue but then we also wouldn't have as much horsepower. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome...

Got a text message from Jungo.
He's got 175 compression on all 4 cylinders :Egyptian:

I've told him to go ahead and verify valve adjustments and put the radiator back and I see no reason not to start it up.
He's also going to verify cam timing to T1 for the hundredth time during valve adjustments.
Waiting to hear back.

Hate to be the pooper, but I don't think its good news untell the initial problem is discovered and solved.

If there is good compresion on all four, the valves did not get hit,so the timing was correct.(When I bent my valves with the timimg off one tooth I bent them by hand)
So what was the noise that started this thread in the first place? It would be comforting to know before trusting anything.

Wouldn't it be just be something if it was just a loose stator bolt!

it could be that the valve is still hanging at speed of running ....the best we can do is spin it with the plugs out to get the fastest speed without running ....i think this was done ....so now im worried its not right ... be careful jungo
