Jeff. last November 8, I was working on a $100 snowmobile. I had shut the furnace off in preperation to drain the 10 yr old gas out of it. I had it up on 3 5 gallon pails. and was laying on the floor under the snowmobile. as the gas was draining, I heard a woooshing sound ,,looked towards the furnace and saw a line of fire coming towards me. I just barely got up and it blew me about 20 ft out of the garage. lucky the door was open.I then tryed going back in to get my friends 08 Ford half ton out that we were working on. nope so them tryed going in the lean too eside the garage and get the Quad and Wing out. no keys.. so called fire department and watched my liife burn up. 40 yrs worth of tools. New Tire machine. Big Air Compressor. Lathe.Generator, Holiday trailer was parked to close.side all melted . Quad. 2 snowmobiles, Wing. friends F150. and we had just moved in there in October..Insurance paid us well for the ,Trailer. Quad.,snowmobiles Freinds F150 ,,but nothing for Wing. and tools. and only 1/3 of replacement cost for the garage itself .I was underinsured they say.. and had PLPD,Collision and wildlife on the 1500,No Fire and theft ???? my policys all burnt in filing cabinet so cant prove em wrong.got some face burns, but lucky to be alive.

That`s heartbreaking..Glad you survived.

I once worked for the American Red Cross and one thing I learned: fire does not discriminate and it does not care about your possessions. Those can be replaced. Glad you are still around to tell the tale.

I echo everyone's condolences and sorrow for your loss. We roll with the punches in life or give up huh? What I'm doing to my bike today is install my new AGM gold plated (for the price it should be) battery.

Are you actually doing it this time or are you enlisting slave labor, I mean your daughter's, help again? :smilie_happy:

Didn't you know they spell Dad ATM these days. :smilie_happy:

Man isn't that the truth!
I must be the exception,
Wife that's happy with me and accepts me for the way I am, and kids that strive to be independent and work hard on their own to support themselves.
They get a small allowance and understand anything more they have to work for it and know why.

As it should be! Not as easy as it sounds - congrats, Dan!
