Didn't you know they spell Dad ATM these days. :smilie_happy:

Man isn't that the truth!
I must be the exception,
Wife that's happy with me and accepts me for the way I am, and kids that strive to be independent and work hard on their own to support themselves.
They get a small allowance and understand anything more they have to work for it and know why.

What did I do today, Well I managed to get the bags on with the trim. I had to redo couple things some touch up work around where the tape got stuck (tomorrow) :Awe: Fairing is on windshield is set in place Radio catty to finish the front up. Polished the front forks looks good. Think I will hope to have it finished this weekend. Looking good have a bad picture so I'll save it for tomorrow..

Nothing yet.. too dark! Lol got my miscellaneous parts I ordered from Straightwings.. they came in yesterday... gotta run to tag office for registering our new to us cage... and if wind dies down will be doing many repairs, replacements and ground issues tracing..

Got everything together to take the 77 to my GW guru, sort out the carb issues i cant seem to get right and put new rear tire on it. Also last week brought home a 78 GL 1000 project, charged battery and tried to get it running no luck yet. PO said he had it running last fall

Wild pipes!

I'm back to riding to work daily because Janet is working twelve hour shifts now. I had no idea how much I missed commuting on my Wing.

Well since Hanover is close to Lebanon, relatively speaking, who is your Guru? Never hurts to know of one if one is needed.

:whistling: :hihihi: I bet.

Hobbs Cycle just outside of Gettysburg 717-334-6270 real good guy loves the old Honda's especially the Gold Wings has a 76 ltd with only 39 original miles.

Yea fishtails gotta go. This bike was a high school kids senior project then have up on it ( I understand he got a good grade on it) a guy from work traded him for a shotgun he won on a raffle, I got it from him, I'll make it into something worth riding again!

I took the '83 std apart to put tapered steering bearings in only to find they were in there already! So I cleaned 'em up and put 'em back in at the proper adjustment. Last ride of the year last year the steering felt wrong. Now I know it was just the adjustment being out of whack. Of course you never get away easy...I find that the sliders on the front calipers are both frozen! I was hoping to not have to tear into the brakes right now, oh well, that's what you get when you look too close.

Just about time to start taking the old girl apart to fix the centerstand. Gotta drain the oil to remove the engine so fire up the engine to warm up the oil. Purrs like a kitten! :thank_you:

Nice sunny day, engine running nicely.......oh well, maybe a ride around the block will help the oil warm up faster! I should have been more specific about how big the block was. Seems the county line was a good parameter to use.........138 miles later!! :hihihi:

Oh well........I guess I'll have take the bike apart later.........

We must be on the same wave length because my ride around the block was 95 miles long. And to make matters worse, I had to stop for gas on the ride home so I can't really tear it apart with a full tank of gas can I???

After a 22 year lay off from riding, I can't believe how cagers are so distracted more today than I ever remember. I installed a headlight modulator and a brake flasher. I never thought I would do this, but after my test ride I was astounded at the people that noticed me. It probably won't do much good against the totally distracted texter, but I can already see it makes a difference.

Got the 78 project to run, not great but firing on all 4. I pulled the plugs shot a little Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders spun it with the starter it turned free. put the pugs back in tried to start it and nothing, pulled the fuel line no flow  no fuel in tank, fuel gage read fuel assumed it worked  put fuel in cranked a bitt and whatta ya know it started :clapping: . fish tails sound horrible, they must go! At least I know she runs :Egyptian:

If I can afford that fishtail exhaust I'd like to have it. I have some neighbors I like to irritate. :smilie_happy:
