Ordered some case guard highway boards like mine for the son in law, $170 new with 3 day shipping but only cost me $20. I won the money playing video poker after lunch at the casino we went to have lunch. :rocks:

"Rode the Rats Nest to work on the Northside and stopped off to find her a playmate. Picked up this 84 Aspy for $700 and a battery for his wife's car."

You got it...cool!! I hope Ruth is cool with it as well!

I started nakedizing the '83. Bought a set of headlight ears with turn signals, and a rear brake light assembly with turn signals from Pony Ruiz. Removed all the plastic, mounts, and extra wiring. I didn't cut any original wiring, just removed 3 spade connectors from the fairing coupler. Installed the rear lights and wired the fronts. I'll need to drop the forks to install the fronts, but everything is working! I still need a headlight bucket, a Standard grab rail, and radiator side air scoops. They're all on Ebay, so I'm just waiting for funds. Of course, if anyone here has any, I'd be interested, but not 'till the 23rd.

I may or may not keep it naked, depending on how she rides. The '82 is dressed, so the best of both worlds will be cool.

A wise man once said "it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission". This one will be on the back burner until I can Finnish helping my mate put his CBX back together. PO is giving me plenty of time to finish the deal and pickup the bike.

Errol the PO was in a diabetic coma for 4 months and has some lingering health issues. His readings go from 2-40 so while I was talking to him he almost crashed at about 2.4. He can no longer ride in his condition and he really has no chance of finishing this project. Hopefully I will

The weather is getting right so I cleaned out a spot under my bike shed for Atila, so some earnest work can begin on that project. At least now I will be out of the weather and won't have to unwrap her every time I get a chance to work on her.
