Put covers over them.. Getting a carpet for my country home.. Oh yeah long lost voice from the past back lurking. Last 2 years has been fun NOT! Had the triple bypass 2 years ago and last year this time they put 3 stints in 2 of them. Seems they didn't stay open during a medication study, and one of them required 2 stints stacked one after the other... Merry Christmas season to my wing family.

It's 34 degrees here with mixed rain & snow, so I turned the thermostat up in the garage.

I raised the covers on the Wings in the heated storage area and looked for over-spray at the three machines. Didn't see or feel any, so I went into the garage proper and sprayed the first clear coat on the El Camino. Watched the clear coat make runs and exercised my vocabulary. Now waiting 24 hours so I can fix the runs.

It don't get much better than this!

Gave up on an 1100 master cylinder that would not release. Ordered an 1800 MC, so my bike really is becoming a Mutt!

Depending on which front fender I have on the bike, I will have parts from every model GoldWing out there. I know there is a 1500 part on there somewhere, I just can't remember which one!!!

mines got a 1500 brake front master cylinder...not sure what yr it is ...think dans got a 1800 rear master on his bike ....its nice here in fla. im going to go riding in a bit today with my wing ...world looks much better when riding the oldwing ....

Finally finished putting the insulation up in the rafters of the garage this week. :heat: Nice & comfy when compared to before, :good: the heat stays in a lot longer, snow on the roof as well. :yes:Hope to get a gas line ran this year, an old furnace hooked up and working, so the kerosene smell is a past memory. Turning the dial for heat, would make the winter a lot more bearable. :yahoo:

TOO many winters with NO heat,no garage, gravel & mud,no cement for a creeper. : Body's shot to hell, but working conditions are getting a lot better. :smilie_happy:

Got My KEY in the mail from Ron ( Keymaker ) to my newly (to me) purchased 1984 1200 Interstate. :) now the fun begins .. got to look in the saddlebags for the first time , ( there wasn't a Million dollars in there :( ) did find the original tool kit, spare fuses , a few odds and ends ... But ... The Key fits ALL the locks, and turns the Ign. it has the normal issues after sitting a few years, the cables are VERY "stiff" the choke cable is frozen, the gas tank Looks pretty clean ,and empty , so I'm hoping the Carbs aren't to bad ? the brakes need go through...etc etc. Of course the timing belts as well, the bike has right at 40,000 miles My biggest problem ... finding time to work on my own stuff...lol I have orders for 4 of my antique Motorbike Replicas.. I'll post pics. of the wing when I drag it out of the garage.. https://www.facebook.com/Antique-Motorb ... 774871285/[attachment=3]eb8.jpg[/att

Brian, you have experienced what I went through. The oem honda plunger was too long for the Mc body so the release port (return port) didn't get uncovered. Proved this with measurements. The fix was putting the piston in the lathe and taking 1/16" off each end. Has worked perfect since then, 2 years I think.

The 1200 has a hydraulic clutch, so if it is stuck, it isn't a cable issue.

That makes a difference :smilie_happy:

I do have a Question though.... will the clutch need to be working to see if the engine turns over ? is there a safety switch on it ??

CHOKE cable might not be stuck as it seems. 1200 carbs have enricheners on every carb connected by linkage moved by that cable. On my 84 the linkage is a frequent issue. I would encourage you to flush and bleed the clutch actuator. A working clutch is a great thing.
