Put the circlip on the output shaft of the '79 gl1000, piece of cake. Then spent 45 minutes trying to get the rubber boot back on the swingarm to cover the universal. Said a few choice words over it and gave up for now. Is there a trick to this, maybe a special homemade tool, or am I not saying the right choice words under my breath?

I had issues until I used a silicon spray, and spent a week away from it. Walking away was probably a good call.


On with what I did today, Installed some lil bits on the Blackbird; tank bag and "X" grip ram mount phone holder.

went to a cage and bike show today and got third place in the custom bike catagory

After our morning grocery shopping I got on the wing and rode to a local flea market and walked around a bit. From there I rode over to Wolfie's place and we rode out to a bike event out in the country where I hung out for a few hours & had a couple of beers. Rode home alone as he wanted to put some more miles on his wing...he's still getting the carbs sorted out.

I'm taking the day off today to go for a country ride with my cousin visiting from Phoenix. He's able to rent a bike from a website called Twisted Roads (I think). Last year he got a Harley almost identical to his back home. Not available this year, so he's getting a Honda Hog-clone. One year we wandered about looking for/at covered bridges; this year waterfalls. Anywhere green and rural works for a city kid from the desert. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

I went to a petting zoo, got kissed by a giraffe...in Nairobi. Actually a breeding preserve for giraffes.

Wow how cool...I once took my daughter to Louisville zoo ...my daughter went on elephant ride ..at the end of the ride I went to grab my daughter off the elephant and the elephant wrapped his trunk around my arm ...I was had ..I looked the elephant right in the eyes ...after what seemed a long time ..the trainer smack the elephant with a stick and he let go ...wow what a moment ..I knew the elephant had me my life in his control live or die ...some time later the elephant killed the trainer in the same way he had me ...beating him on the ground repeatedly and took off through the crowd and was killed ...I’ll never forget that ever ..my daughter was about 5 then she like 33 now ...looking that eliphant eye to eye ..I know the elephant decided I wasn’t his enemy and let me go ...me and my daughter went home safe ..I can still see it all like it was yesterday it happen...

I then went and chased some secondhand riding apparel. Unfortunately the jacket was too small but the boots were a perfect fit.

Went on safari ride, saw giraffes, elephants, zebras, & warthogs, all in the same picture!, what a day.
Will load pictures when I can...the only bikes around are 125cc!

Was feeling a little peaked, so I put the charger on the 400 Hawk, and took the CM250C for a 30 minute jaunt just to get some fresh air. If the Hawk's Cheap AGM battery will come up, I'll take it for a longer ride, if not, I will be ordering a "Motobatt" for it too. -Graves-

met up with cousinjeff this morning (about 08:00 ) and showed him some murals he didn't have and we found a couple neither of us had, we stopped for breakfast too
