Well, mine didn't involve physical damage. Judy and I drove tp Covington, GA and picked up a GL1000 seat that I had found on Facebook Marketplace and a side table for my bed (I had destroyed the previous with my head when I fell a few years ago). Both need refinishing, but they both have "good bones".

Finished day two a little drier than yesterday. Good to go!!

Many of you probably have a million years riding experience, but I’ve just had a blast fine tuning my riding skills. Great course and great fun as well.

We might all benefit from a critique now and then.

I am right there with you. Thursday I lacerated my right leg down to the shin bone. :crying: I had to bandage it up and finish the brake job I was doing at the time. :rant: I won't be posting any pics, it isn't pretty to look at. I have been changing bandages every day and the cut is closed up well, but the large abrasion alongside it hurts the worst. Been hobbling around since then, but I did ride the SilverWing Sunday for 2 hours. Got my GL1100 shock springs and seals today, and just finished assembling them. Noticed I put the guide in the 1st one in upside down :doh: so it is coming apart again after supper. :beer: Hope you heal soon! -Graves-

stepped out of an F-150 that I had just parked and rolled my ankle, I thought I had a sprain or pulled a tendon but the X-ray showed it to be broken

Mine was ALSO from climbing out of a 2014 F-150! With slick running boards, while only 12" off the ground on my arm-lift, which is what I cut my shin on. Was your F-150 Red? :rant: I swear, Fords try to kill me every week! I think Fords Hate Honda owners. Especially the "Hardly-Ableson F-150" what a crock! :deadhorse:

We must be cursed. Took some flesh off the pad of my thumb today with a small prying tool. Started bleeding pretty bad.

Had to pour some peroxide on it, bandage it up, and continue on the front oil seal job I was doing on our car. One silver lining: the old seal looked damaged, so hopefully it is the source of the oil that was dripping on the belt and slinging oil all around passenger side of the engine bay. Cost - $25 for a new serpentine belt, $10 for the seal. For that price, it's a cheap enough attempt to fix the issue.

Edit: I forgot the useful information. Awhile back, my wife was throwing out an old rug with a solid rubber backing - something like a 3' x 5' or 4' x 6'. I grabbed it for my own use.

Put it down on the gravel driveway to do the seal, and it is a lot more comfortable than laying in the dirt, and I don't get dirty tools. The rubber backing is good for keeping dry when working on the wet ground. When done, I just hung it over the fence line to get washed by rain in the forecast. No oil got on it, else I'd have used some dish soap or degreaser to spot clean it.

Good tip to avoid laying in the dirt. I use the interlocking foam exercise squares. Easy to keep “clean” and pretty comfy.

we were catching the heal of our shoes on the running board so we started putting our left foot on it and stepping out with our right foot, guess i'll start jumping out when I get back to work

glad you've got a handle on your injury, seeing that mine happened at henry's I have to wait on workers comp before moving forward

two of my coworkers got hurt yesterday also, jonas slipped in some oil and hit the ground face first and a lady that is new to our department ( i haven't met her yet ) cut herself pretty bad

The injuries related to F150's and F250's are real! Last year, I hurt my back significantly sliding out of an F250 4x4 after launching our boat. (That put a real damper on riding my bike!!)

This one was a rental and had no running boards. What a drop it was! (Of course being shaped like Humtpy Dumpty didn't help..... :smilie_happy: )

Went to start the Slug for a trip to the doctor and, no juice! Battery good, lights good. No time to play around so I jumped the terminals on the solenoid with a pair of pliers Bike started right up.

Later, pulled the solenoid and tested the start button. Button works. Check crossing the leads on the solenoid, relay not working. Open the solenoid up and it is a rusty mess! (Aftermarket one added back in 2014.) I can't complain for a $9.00 solenoid. Ordered another. Should be here tomorrow.

I was having the same problem getting out of the F-150 here. It has long but narrow running boards, so I had to put my left foot on the lift arm, and my right heel hung on the running board then slipped to the in side of the lift arm, and my left foot went off the outside of the lift arm. That is how my right shin raked the pivot of the lift arm and cut me so deep. I don't weigh much, so I didn't land hard, so much as awkward and off-balance. Thank goodness I keep my equipment clean, or I would have needed a tetanus shot. Large trucks make me cautious, but I got distracted my the shop phone ringing as I stepped out onto the lift arm. I take a few Tylenol every 5 or 6 hours while I'm working, and it keeps the throbbing at bay. No need to see a doctor this time, but I wasn't so sure at first! I can still ride, but my leg will get uncomfortable or itchy at times, lol!

Stripped the Gold Wing Naked. All panniers and top box, rack, front Pacifico fairing, is gone nothing but a standard bike again. Ahhh I forgot how light these bikes can be. Once I get the headlight and the turn signals mounted up will post up a picture. I am going with all LED after market bits.
