Cleaned and repacked the steering bearings on my friends 79 goldwing. I told him I'd get it going for him, so after many months I'll try to get it back to him by the time real riding starts. Gotta order brake parts tonight so I can put those back together soon. The engine was too ugly to put back in without painting it but then the valve covers made it look bad, so those got polished...the way the dominoes fall...

played with the 450 some more today and found a blown fuse, I wish this bike had blade style fuses. I tried to start it with the old battery from my 750f but it wasn't any good either. I called lisa a couple times but got the phone out of service message so I took a ride over to her house. on the way home I remembered to stop and get a pic of this mural

about noon time I drove over to mom's and took her some groceries, made it home about 15:00. watched the rifle man until 16: 00 then grabbed the hot glue gun, small socket set, screw driver, and plyers then headed to the garage. I took the mighty CT 70 out then uncovered the 450. I used the hot glue gun and put the tabs back on the side cover, i'll see how it holds up tomorrow. once done with that I took the front wheel off the mighty CT 70 and replaced the speedometer gear, now I have a working speedometer

Well I lost the doghouse lol but it looks like I bought the. Dog today ...cant wait to play with it .
.very big dog

How long are you going to make us wait...
Animal, mineral, or vegetable...?
Hydraulic, electric, or muscle power?
Wheels, tracks, skis, or teeth?
Just guessing...

My wife and I took a ride. Sixty miles. Since it may snow this week, we decided to take advantage of the 55 degree day.

Then I changed the oil on her 250. I don't think I've ever changed it - PO did it before she bought it last year. Funny thing - it has a similar setup to the filters on the Goldwings, and that certain washer was missing.

I'm now zero for three on washers for that specific oil filter setup.

played around with the CB 450 nighthawk some today, got all the old fuses changed, new sparkplugs installed, and the new battery installed. got dash lights now and it even cranked over but didn't start for me. I put the charger back on the battery and got it covered up, i'll go at it again tomorrow if it isn't raining

I needed to replace the bearings in the front wheel on a '79 gl1000, and I'm pleased to say I was able to make the tools and pul it off without a hitch...a very good day.
