Last June while at my Independent cycle repair shop I came across a pristine 1989 Honda PC800 (Pacific Coast) with just 10.789 miles on it. Found out it was for sale & bought it.
My Buddy was really bummed out with it as if I didn't buy it he had money in his pocket. He was gonna buy it. So I sort of bought it for all the wrong reasons. Knowing if I passed on it.....

Fast forward a month, We were out riding & found another PC about 40 miles away. Brought my Buddy to see it & he bought it on the spot. It's a Red 96 that just turned 14.000 miles as he test rode it. What are the odds of finding 2 of these with low miles on them in basically in the same neighborhood!

Back in the day when these came out I would turn my nose at these as I was so into Goldwings. Now that I'm older & been there done that with the GoldWings. I've found this bike to be quite a pleasant surprise! Quiet, lightweight, comfortable. smooth, and simply a blast to ride! I now have 18.900 miles on it since June. Never thought it would be so much fun for this 62 year old! Took it on the dragon this year!

One of the main reasons I bought it was because its probably the last of the mid size shaft drive bikes. (other than BMW) that's affordable.

Trouble is with just over 15.000 of these built. Plastic parts are getting hard to find. Lucky for me the 89 pearl white are the easiest to come by.
My friend needs a left side mirror assembly as his GF tipped his over. Does anybody know if there's a place to buy these new or is there a Goldwing used parts place out there that may have parts for a PC.

Still have my Old 78 GoldWing. Its not going anywhere!

My PC

Mine & My friends 96,

To me they are little odd looking but not ugly. Probably would make an excellent bike for the right person. Enjoy

When I was looking for a bike, it was a choice between the PC800 and a GL1100. The Wing was I bought. The 300 extra CC was my deciding factor.
:good: can't beat CCs

all of them are V-Twin motors too right ??? I have never been a Fan of a 2 cyl. motor cycle . just me I reckon' . . . :laptop:

Yep, V-Twin:

There is a complete PC 800 and a stripped one on Craigslist.
The one in pieces: https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/5264171484.html
The whole bike: https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/5258708104.html
Something about these bikes reminds me of a 'Baby Goldwing'.

A HUGE Thank You! This fellow happened to still have the mirror my Buddy needed. Those are next to impossible to find.......Let alone a red one of the same year. its on its way!

I to thought is complete bikes for sale were a bit high also. I paid $3.200 for my 89.

Who can argue that more CC's is better. yet when you've been there, done that. It doesn't matter anymore. I don't do the type of riding anymore that requires a large bike.

As far as the 800cc V Twin goes.....its dual plugged with 3 valves per cylinder & the crank is balanced for a smooth ride. It will go happily all day long 80, 85 mph Smooth & quiet with plenty of power.
One need to spend some saddle time with these to appreciate them. Branded as the "Station Wagon" of sport touring bikes. Still has plenty enough to put a big grin on this old Guy's face. :lust:

Plus it was the only production bike ever built where the whole trunk opens for both side compartments.

They do surprise you. When I test rode the one I was looking at I thought it would be the same as riding the 800 Intruder which was the bike that I had gotten rid of a few years before. I was wrong!

Plus it was the only production bike ever built where the whole trunk opens for both side compartments.

I never could quite get used to seeing it opened up.
