Looking good. I've been considering drag bars. Looks like your shock might be a bit stiff.

"Hard tail"...

Thank you.

I will see how I like the drag bars, they may be a bit low and forward for comfort, I may want to raise the seat in the future too, it rides way lower than the stock one, I feel like I am crouching a lot to sit on it (I am 6'). Then again, I have not ridden many cruisers, so I don't know the right posture.

I am rebuilding the shocks, and installing all of the air lines and brake lines next week. I may polish the connectors, just because it's kind hard to once they are installed.

Intended riding position is sitting up pretty straight. Like sitting on a dining room chair. I don't think my back will allow use of the drag bars in the stock position.

Yes that is true, but I am also looking to distrubute weight evenly. I may end up going with a slightly higher seat and lower handlebars to move body weight forward. If these bars are not low enough then I will look for some clip-ons.

I will really just have to feel out the right position an make adjustments after I start riding it.

Good to see that you are back at it Marty :good:

Thank you. I have been letting her sit for too long.

I am trying to get up to my garage, and work for a couple of days on the bike, this week. Spring as appraoching!

This weekend, I am determined. I am headed up to Paradise to get Aretha running. I ordered a new ring for the gas tank online for more money than I wanted to spend. I am going to collect all of the fluids and other little tools that I need.

I also found out that I can register my bike as a built (new homemade) bike, bypassing the vin plate all together. But I still may find it, and make things a whole lot easier.

I finally got Aretha to stand under her own weight!

So, of course I jumped on, made motor sounds with my voice and did a speed tuck...

I got the rear air shocks filled and installed. the front shock still need to be filled with a syringe (I am procrastinating that job). The rear master cylinder was beyond repair...

Here is a pic of one of my F4i's (sold 5+ years ago)...

Thank you all for the kind words.

This is the master cylinder I am going to use to replace the broken one in the rear. It came off of a CBR1000RR...

I'm curious how well the frame mounting works out.
I used a 1800 m/c and had to make an adaptor plate.

I figured i might have to get creative, but the cylinder was $10 and a Goldwing one was $200+. So I will make it work somehow.

Oh, yeah I found a 1800 one for about $40 used.
Actually the only reason I went with it was its capacity is same or larger than the original 83 with linked brakes. I tried one that was slightly smaller but didn't move enough fluid for the travel.
