gee ive got radiator in  and carbs fixing to go on now ...i had one bad experience...but maybe not when i took the water pump cover off so the one on the radiator could go on it was full of oil in there ..im thinking it was done to protect pump ...so other than that im back out to put carbs on these will be 1100 carbs that were on the 77 1000 motor i took out ....not my first choice just the easiest to do right now ...dont think its a bad choice either ...who knows right now what might be best

I posted at NGW today, and I think it will come in exactly at stock compression for a 1200. If the head combustion chambers are the same, what else can change from a stock 1200?? I got myself all tangled up in the math. The 1000 head is 33 cc's, the 1200 head is 33cc's. Nothing else changes from the stock 1200. It's got to be 9:1. All these online calculators come in with different numbers than what Honda put out, but I am going to assume that the way Honda measured it then and the way they today are different. I am going to shave a few thousandths of mine and recheck valve clearances and button it up. Great to hear yours is running. I'll be looking for continued posts from you as I have been. Good JOB!!!

after checking everything over ...i had a loose rotor that needed tightening ...the second run was fantastic ...theres no way this bike is not going to run good it seems spot on ...its seems like the carbs are quick as any ive ever seen or heard ..just plain crisp ...i cartainly cant have any air leaking from the stretched out rack of 1100 carbs ....ineed to make a video this thing sounds as good as any straitpipe wing ive ever listen too ...im sur hoping these carbs hang in there at high rpm if they do it will be one bad ass dragonwing ....sheesh the gearing is going to something this is the lowest geared anything that can be put together from oldwings ...it sure seems the gamble on the motor is good just the transmission on the unknown block ...course there stator and clutch to be proved yet also ...but the test is over and it passed to next staged of work :builder:
