Pic of steps leading to drivers level floor ..this is at the front bulkhead of bus steps removable as there is a tunnel of air lines ...electrical ..power steering lines and much more that had to be lowered in the new floor ..

Some stuff I had to leave in place ..so built a cabinet there ..battery box witch is huge and another space not sure what I am going to do there

Spent a long time removing glue ..goo ...and two sides tar tape MCI USES. To the max ..

No small feat getting wheelchair door ...fuel tank panel and battery box all made to seal nice and not leak ...

The other nightmare was cutting every thing out ..mostly done with hammer ...hatchet ..and?ESTWING camp axe ...as?way to much wiring to use torch ...use cut off wheels and metal bandsaw ..but as said took several months of well place axe blows ...bus?just had a smell I couldn't get rid of ..being a cal I bus hauling 60 people the AC/HEAT system was just nasty ..not one once of nasty left in this bus ....as said it's 10k lighter now ..getting close to finish ..I am in the motorhome stretch ...LOL

Thanks Dusterdude ...the pic shows?a?more finish pic of cabinet ...I had 2 bundles of wires that?we're to short to lower down in tunnel ..one bundle had maybe 70 wires in it you other had 18 wires ...was able to get the bundle down and over to the cabinet then up at a angle over to top of fuel tank ...and back to motor area ..the?28 wire bundle was?strategically cut to lengthen but try motor and it ran. Still not sure what the wires are for ..so there caped off for now ...I suspect there for tag axcle lock and unlock as the idea axcle can turn a bit ...it was a great day figuring out I could hide the wires in this cabinet ...like the final piece of the low floor conversion ...this bus bus is kind of like the hooch bike one of a kind ...not sure anyone has ever done a low floor conversion before ...

This shows the repurposed SS TRIM I CUT UP TO TEPLAVE SLL THE MOLDING ...very difficult to cut SS strait used a jig saw and smart hands ...work out great ..might be able to see the floor beams that strapped to the baggage floor everywhere possible locking the two to get her as one piece totally inside from all outside enviroment and yes can see baggage doors still work for access ..this is access to cabinet I built and you can see the big bundle of wires angling up above fuel tank ...

Glad to see you making progress Joe! Been a long time coming. I remember discussing the potential of getting a bus back in July of 2010! Pic of the beginnings of the doghouse. Shame it did not get used for the bus.

Incredible build really considering I pretty much built it all by myself out of used lumber ..Sat simpleton like for a long time toll I could get metal ..yep it was built to put a greyhound bus in ...building is still there ..solid as a rock 4ox60x25 ft clearance ...in out side in the Fla sun ...LOL ....BUT ITS IN THE HOME STRETCH TO GETTING DONE NOW ...

THIS IS?A PIC OF THE REVISED INSIDE PASSIVE CLIMATE LOGHTING SYSTEM FOR THE MOTOR HOME BUS HAS WINDOWS DOWN BOTH SIDES 40FT WORTH 3FTX5FT ..I HAVE SLIT WINDOWS CUT IN FOR TRAVEL PURPOSES AND ALSO VERY TIGJT SLITS IN THE REST OF WINDOWS ..IM GUESSONG BUT PROBABLY 2 To 4% LIGHT ALLOWED IN ..WITH TWO SKY LIGHTS IN CEILING ALL THIS ADDED TOGETHER PROBABLY 90% SHADOWING WHILE BASICALLY LIGHTING UP THE WHOLE BUS ...ELIMINATING LIGHTING IN DAYTIME HOURS ..PLUS THE SHADOWING ELIMINATES ALOT OF INSIDE ENVIROMENT POWER USEAGE ..I AM IN FLA ITS SEEMS TO BE WORKING GREAT
