No offense taken,or meant. As I said,I do admire youre cause, and I do to a certain extent try to live a non intrusive, non intruded life putting god first.
And I also believe the best way to raise my children is by letting them see both the right and wrong of our crazy sociaty, and hopefully make good educated experiances for themselves. Not by sheltering them from what they will inedably find out the hard way.

I am guilty of many social comforts such as 401k,checking accounts and such, but learned hard long ago that the false illusion of happyness is not in over financed homes cars and fancy gadgets. I have gotton myself to a dept free life and enjoy my PAID FOR old truck,10 year old impala, and 27 year old goldwing, and 35 year old tractor far more than any new or fancy over priced over interest product than can make.If only the gov didnt take such a large cut out of it!

But I cringe everytime one of my kids wants to show me there "new car" :Awe:

Peace be with you,and God Bless

in your avitar the scenery looks enjoyable and i hope the gov intrusion thats coming on you gets done away with in your favor.

Although I love my 75 year old homestead and small hometown of burnips, what you see is my small 1.5 acres on the bottem of a hill on a dead end surounded by swamp. But it keeps it private.

And as long as Steve Orko is running this country the intrusions(taxes) are probably not getting any better.

I feel what joedrum is doing to build himself a life away from the rat race and many of the ridiculous modern temptations is honorable. Even more honorable if he's BEEN wrapped up in the modern lifestyle, in debt and miserable and has gotten himself out of it, something I can only dream of at this point in my life.
I would love to make a special trip to Joe's place just to shake his hand and the hand of his wife, one day I will.
One day I will meet every one of you good people.

im speechless and amazed that a 30yr old wing has led to such great association with such good people and someday i do want to meet everybody and a BBQ sounds good to me at my place.

im not going to have any trouble putting out today yalls words woke and fired me up

the whole idea that we all have wings sets us apart from most i personaly have grown from our association      :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

that would be quite a test drive gerry. i think when you get that 83 engine going thr gearing change is going to make you think you have a different bike well suited for long trips cant wait to hear about it.

on the doghouse issue im glad im almost done with having fun with the sledge hammer, im realy filling my age right now. theres natural springs all around my place and the ground stays moist most of the time so i had to pound in bog shoes around all the posts and thats what all the sledging was about

it seems like now that everthing is coming together im running out of materials to keep going , but out of thin air it seems people i know are just coming by and bringing me stuff to use. im just stund by it all im not even ging to be able to act like im worried about things so i can rest for a few days.

suns coming up, looks like another pretty day, im going to enjoy myself but im going to leave the sledge hammer alone !!!!!!!!!

would a dog house like that as the boss has told me any more bikes turn up and im out so until then ill use the neighbors

its nice when things that are out of my hands to acomplish it happens anyway ,my biggest critic on my building who said quote thats the craziest thing ive ever seen anybody try to do , to build a building that big with no posts in the middle of the building no plan on how your going to build it and no money to build it, im sick of his out of thin air theory its never going to get done.

so my friend the critic gave me 300 plus 2x4s , you never know where the blessing may come ,im grateful that i never took issue with his opinon about things ,what the point, he was always asking a mutural friend on what was happening and when he herd that the trusses i made went up and didnt fall apart he came by but didnt stop just tured around and left i thought he was mad and upset that things were coming along . then though the mutural friend he sent word that he was going to give me the thin air i needed to to finish most of the framing .

you just never know what might happen if you give things the chance to happen

Looking good Joe , and I know what you mean about never knowing where good things come from ,....... But they do , It made me and my wife smile looking at your work , and reading your story. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

things are coming alone great, when i got the trusses up the poles i needed to line everything up with how i was going to have the building follow the grade of mother earth where i live instead of leval and square with the benifits of maintaining ceiling hight and the ground stays petty moist here and it makes no sense to dig in the ground unless you want a pond, so theres been a lot of work in pounding in bog shoes around the posts and turning the into a truss or gerder like deal to lessen the downward pressure on the posts and bog shoes wicth will lessen settleling problems in the moist ground . it may seem like overkill but in the envirment its in and my knowlegde of combating this, its the way to go for a stout long lasting building so theres not a whole lot major progress but it sure knocked me down a few notches on energy level with all the sledge hammer work that was involed .

im going to take some more pics when i get enough done to see consept of what ive been talking about plus getting my daugter to help me post more pics, im still in training on this issue and not making much progress

i want to thank everyone watching and posting it inspires me and i will try to keep this interesting for everybody :hi: :thank_you:

things have slowed a bit on the doghouse with the change in the season lots to do around here this time of yr for me .plus the weather is great for riding

i hope it as pretty where you live as it is here

you might be a redneck if you come home and catch your son out fishing on the lake in a johnboat with an old recliner chair he was suppose to get rid of

im glad he didnt catch anything one strike and the whole mess would have capsided .sure looked comfortable though

okay now that it seems that my health is not going to get any better as far as pain level gose .....im just going to raise my pain tolerence level to the point of finishing the doghouse .....just to many raw nerves cross firing in my body to expect any more improvement....so im just going to grit my teeth and take it as ive got to get this done before i get any worst . im going to go slow in movement as to try and keep from collasping from nerve spasiums ....ive done many things in life and one was working on skyscrapers so i have all the skill ineed to handle something going wrong without panicking ......

i figured it out and will proably tie myself off and if i do collasp i sould swing down and not hit the ground .....and with that confidence ill just have fun with it ive always been crazy smart about things like that and will probably do it for fun ......nothing like swinging down within an inch of your life just to go to lunch or home at the end of the day.....

scatch has got me encourage on picture posting and im going to try to get to his level :smilie_happy: pics coming again ....im done looking at this 35 ft by 60 ft frame with no roof on it .....
