It will be a bitter sweet day for sure! But, I am comfortable letting her go at this point. Of course, I keep looking at the pictures and now with OEM orange color decals/pinstripes, the iron color engine doesn't quite look right. I might have to drop it, clean it and take it back to Duplicolor Silver again.

I have given it some time and sure enough, the new paint and stripes are clashing with the engine color. I had to do it. Dropped the engine and I am going to change it back to aluminum color. Might as well clean the carbs while it is off. Oh, and I have a spare set of timing belts, gotta add them to the list. In in the end, all items that should help the bike sell.

The "NeverEnding Story" these bikes. Had a look at the pinstripes. I think these are a Honda standard as these appear to be similar to the pinstripes on my '85 1200. Will be looking for these a little later.

Um hm.

Carbs cleaned and polished! Since being rebuilt by Pistol Pete back in February 2015, they have stayed clean. No varnish found inside and all jets were nice and clean. Engine is degreased and getting ready for paint stripper.

Engine is repainted and ready to go back in. Don't let the reflections in the timing covers fool you. Those are not bad spots, those are reflections of my tool box. Time to get this old girl on the market!
