In having a strong level of experience with single carburetor's on Yamaha XS 650's and Virago's of all sorts from many years ago, I learned some things that are useful to a Honda Goldwing GL1000 Induction Conversioneer that may prove useful on many facets when compared to what is currently available on the open market today. "High Performance" does not have to be EXPENSIVE for our bikes if we follow a fundemental approach.

I've threads on some on-going projects in experinemtation that await further progress (when time allows) such as THIS one. I will try and get a grouping of my threads together at some point soon in here.

Benefits?
Easier Starting is usually the first noticeable improvement.
Better Drivability is usually the second thing noticed.
More Efficiency is usually realized through less fuel consumption.
Cost Factor involved is greatly reduced over the open market options.
Overly Rich fuel charges are masked. A HUGE benefit to Conversioneer's!
...and many more benefits involved depending on the approach applied.

Other Members here have some Great options as well. One works so well that it has been adopted commercially for our application.
Another has a single-fire option proven over three decades ago.
Many run stick coils with great results.

For me, having a strong ignition to compliment my induction conversion has proven itself to be a succesful move for little money.

Conversioneer's, what "Do It Yourself" modifications have proven beneficial to your conversion? I do know what I know, but I certainly do not know everything as realized from One 36 Year Old Hot Rod.

I look forward to any input of "proven" Do-It-Yourself, higher performing ignition modifications. I'm interested in more working models than those theoretical models, but all conversation is welcome.
Single carb mods on the bikes he mentioned are single BIKE carbs. They have nothing to do with adapting a car carburetor. Stick or on plug coils have a high failure rate and are out where they will most likely get damaged on a wing motor. The most bang for your buck on ignition for penny pinchers is, the Wiredgeorge coil mod. And Hondaman mods.

Bottom line just about any SCC here with stock ignition beats his as seen in his video.

just redicules ...as everyone knows and why they attack us for no reason is all the success we have had here in a very short period of time .... like a first round knock out ...no ? who won ...now that there back on there feet ...claiming foul ,,we cheated .. like any sore loosers do

All I can say to that post is, anyone reading anything from him BEWARE.

He has proven many times over the years that he's not to be trusted, posts misleading information, and isn't capable of backing up his claims.

Since the Saunders forum lets him continue, that says a lot for their lack of credibility as well and does the honest members a disservice.

Wait, "through less fuel consumption"?

Same old lies from him right there in just that one line.
My math says his 18-20 mpg is MORE fuel consumption.
Which calculator is he using. He needs a new one.

There must be a reason for it. I wonder...

I will not tolerate a bunch of bickering here anymore.
Get back on track with carburetor modifications issues.

I have been absent for the last 24 hours, due to a computer crash and having to rebuild things here. That and trying to finish up my bike's mods before I leave for W.DC

.MY ANSWER....

the video was misleading and THAT offended me. the authors answers offended me.
being told to keep quiet , when some thing is amiss, offends me.
condoning inaccurate statements OFFEND ME.

I like how he snuck his ignition thread into the Altered Induction forum. Does he wrap the wires around the runners? It's really the same junk being recycled by him, but if you put single carb at the end it can go in the AlteredCaptainMidnight forum.

Don't know what he's doing with the matchup of ignition altered inflammation. It's a big secret don't ya know?
