well,i was putting new throttle cable on and bumped the fuel line and it snapped.thank god. :beer: I wasn,t riding.so replaced,all of it.had a oil pressure,gauge from my Harley chopper/it was traded for my 85-1200/ put it on works great.getting closer to a road trip.. :salute: :moped: :ahem:

I put the forks back together with new seals and those "very special screws and washers" in the bottom. They must be special 'cause Honda had to order them and they weren't cheap! Now I'm gonna put fork oil in thru the air fitting, 'cause that beats taking the tops off again. Got my heads back from the machine shop putting in an insert where I broke a bolt off in the intake manifold mount. Thought it was a nice touch to have em bead blasted, but now I have to clean em up real good and paint them. That's not saving me much time! Put vinegar in the gas tank for the de-rusting process...hope this works.

I started up the 1500 wing and rode it slowly up and down the block a few times but after just having cataract surgery on my left eye Tuesday I don't want any issues with the eyes. I did put my helmet on to block the wind and debris that's blowing around

Maintenance today:

Oil and oil filter change (Rotella)
New magnetic drain plug and crush washer
New air filter
Changed final drive lube

Wired the C5 back together and found that the battery is dead so it is now on the charger.

highway bars/engine guards.off my 85.i need to see at night.stage 3 glaucoma and cataracts.i,m good to go,just need to see.floor boards off of 85.set them to my boots.wiring up night lights today. :music:

Spend the morning working :head bang: , the afternoon soldering the stator leads and timing the C5, and then Gerry showed up and no work got accomplished. Some times good company is better than getting a lot of work done.

Those look sweet, best thing is the chrome bottom plates look good when they are up, tough to find good chrome on these used.
