Pulled the rack to change to temperature sensor. Had a look @ the inside bowls all looks good.
Great! Got the timing sorted out now too?

Tack welded my pipes up for my exhaust and installed my C5 ignition. My buddy is going to TIG the pipes for me which will give the the extreme upswept look I have wanted on my 76. I will be posting a video when its finally finished. However, I was able to start the bike for the first time in over 6 months. Even though I only have open headers on the bike I couldnt resist firing it up once I had my C5 all hooked up. Cant wait to ride this thing with my new: Brake system, ignition system, tires, and exhaust system. Gonna be flippin sweet.

I'm not a fan of the upswept exhaust. Doesn't look right unless you are doing a wheelie. But I agree you'll be very happy once you get riding.

Checked oil and air pressures before taking the Rats Nest for a great Autums day ride out to Beaudesert to pick up a faulty battery charger. I realised that my nifti Schwinn bike pump that I use for the air suspension was damaged when I leant it to a stranded rider to pump up his flat front tire. The latching mechanisim was not allowing the schrader valve to operated correctly and I was only getting 20psi into the rear suspension. I decided to use my AC compressor and carefully let some air into the suspension so that I had 60psi in the rear and 22psi in the front. I cant beleive what a difference this made to the handling of the Rats Nest, no more wallowing/pumping through high speed sweeping corners. Easier to get her on to the center stand and not as much peg/ stand grinding in the corners. Excellent days riding :good: :moped:
I did leave my ride up the dreaded driveway a little late after a few beverages and had to tackle it in the dark. After all our rain not the best move, got stuck about three times and had to back out of some holes/washouts and heavy clutch slip and back brake so that I didn't loose traction and drop the bike. I certainly got a good workout and so did the Rats Nest ( had to turn the thermo fan on) before we made it up to the house eventually :yahoo:

Finally got rest of parts for wife's car, one tie rod end had NO grease fitting, :cheeky: other one did. :eek:k: Reordered another, & it finally got here, installed both & got aligned pretty close. Switch tires around & see how they wear, come fall if wear is not what it should be get aligned & all 4, if wears like they should maybe only 2, or not. :nea: Now i can get back to bike's, tires, & brakes, etc & riding with clear conscience. :good:

How come you don't have an album with all those Wings? Posting pics isn't hard.:headscratch:

Was never interested in computers, I have the shop manuals & shop full of tools, didn't need a computer, :smilie_happy: till found out about all the parts, & knowledge available in it. :read: Pictures that we have are of us & animals, past & present, film & developing was pricey, so didn't take many pics of bikes, as they usally stayed around. Just got a digital camera for Xmas, maybe will figure out how to use it & computer together some day, but seem to have other issues at the present. :salute:
