Rode the 83 interstate from Palm Coast to Daytona Beach along A1a. Blue skies, warm temps, waves crashing on the beach to the left, while planning how to repair the clutch adjustment on the 83 Aspy back in winter storage. There are better places for quite thought, but I can't think of any right now!

hopped in the Stang this morning and made a stop at the post office. from there i drove to rosenau power sport, they were checking out the Mighty ST 1300 but it looks like i'll be repairing it myself because they want almost $4500 to replace the clutch slave cylinder. from there i drove over to Good Burger for lunch and for a change the parking lot across the street was empty so i got a good shot

I welded up the hole, sanded down the rust spots, and painted the swingarm on the 77. Mind you I was just going to clean the brakes but ended up pulling the gas tank to prep the rear half of the frame for rust repair and paint.of course that begged a thourough clean and flush on the gas tank...the dominoes keep falling..,
I've got a 76 and just did a lot of disassembling to pull the tank. It appears one needs to remove the silver shaft drive housing to get the tank out. Can you confirm that?

No, you don't have to pull the swingarm to get the tank out, just everything else but that. On my last one, I pulled the swingarm so I could prep and paint the frame near the rear brake mc because the leaking/spilled brake fluid had removed so much paint in the area. The tank is a close fit, so be patient andvlook for where it is hanging up. As I recall, you do have to pull the gas spill tray drain hose because it is that close of a fit.

went and picked up mom, i had no idea of where to take her but as we got on the expressway she read a sigh and said " Toledo " so thats where we went. we stopped at Rudy's for lunch then took the long way home

Went for a 100 Km or so ride yesterday in the local area. The theme for the ride was to do a loop and not ride twice on the same road, can cross over, but not ride on it. Managed to do it, Sonya got a chuckle out of the trip. Stopped for coffee/tea/treat at My Chosen Cafe in Metchosin. Nice way to spend an afternoon.
