I'm jealous of the nice weather everyone is having.

I can travel two hours north and still find ice on the lakes. It's been warmer here, but still in the 40s and 50s.

I have been having a difficult time lately. I have not had to work on any of my motorcycles, having withdrawals. All three bikes work! Walking into the garage without having something taken apart is not normal.

Came up with a make work project, redid the belt tension on the Spyder. Did a few hours work over two days. Good for the time being.

I bought an 86 1200 Aspencade

I haven't had time to scratch my arse... Vapour blasting work is getting a bit busier...

Parts look good. Once parts are vapour blasted, polish to a high shine quite easily. This pic shows one part vapour blasted, and another polished after vapour blasting. After polishing coated with CERAKOTE MC5100 as a protectant. Used polish wheels on a drill.

Don't be jealous. VA may be warmer, but it keeps storming every damned weekend. I started indoor plumbing upgrades yesterday; the dripping inside kept reminding of the deluge outside, lol!

Went out 2-up on the GL1100 Saturday, for about 150 mile ride. It was a familiar route I've done 100's of times. This time I found one blind set of s-curves was unexpectedly in terrible condition with crumbly asphalt, loose gravel, cracks and potholes. Wasn't sure we were going to stay upright even slowing to between 25 to 30 mph! Winter wasn't all that harsh this year, either. There was no warning of road repair or conditions at all. I was already being overcautious carrying a passenger, and got lucky at that. Had I been solo, I may have been pushing the curves and gone down. As it was, my passenger didn't even notice, so I guess I handled it just fine, but I told her we were not returning on that road, and why, lol!
Watch out for this kinda crap, because apparently, road maintenance is seriously lagging this Spring in Virginia.

I finally bolted the engine of the VTR 250 back into its frame after a bit of painting etc... Just need to clear coat the wheels now

after getting home from henry's and relaxing for a few hours i decided to go start up my Wing for the first time this year. i had hooked up the battery charger some time ago so with the key in the ignition and turned on no lights lit up !! i looked at the battery charger and noticed the on / off switch in the " off " position, i made sure it was set to 10a and turned it on. i'll try again tomorrow

So... I was really excited about getting the 1200 home. But that has been sadly soured.
A couple of posts back, I had said goodbye to a friend... My female akita. Life is sometimes very cruel.
On Wednesday, my beloved love of my life, my wife was also taken from me.
I am devastated. Heartbroken. May you rest in peace my love. 💔💔😭😭
