Now that my gift horse has its new belts, I've begun to learn how to handle it. I took it to a mostly empty mall parking lot to practice low speed turns. I'm having a real problem with my size 13s trying to get used to the heel toe shifter. Other than that I love the bike.
Peace.
steve
Get rid of the heel-toe shifter. Those and floorboards just ain't right on the old wings.

when covid first started i was bored sitting at home with not much to do so i went out and got my '85 CB 450 Nighthawk running. that project came to an end when my neighbors tree fell crushing the bike. yesterday i decided to take on my next project, my '79 CB 750F. with a pocket full of unmarked keys i drove over to Lisa's to find out which key fit. once done i put a key fob on the correct keys and headed back home, i'll try starting tomorrow

Bummer about the 450!

got home from Henry's about 15:15 and relaxed until 17:00 then headed over to Lisa's. got the new battery installed in the 750F and tried starting it. it coughed a few times but didn't start, i forgot how little gas i put in the tank last week so i decided to give up and try again tomorrow, i'll bring some gas with me too

Thanks to the experts here, I saved a bunch of money. Repaired the dreaded yellow wires. Before and after. Looking at before, I figure one long ride and I'd have been stranded.

I had a week of vacation I needed to use and my wife couldn't get the time off.
I believe I spent that week wisely.

Five days, about a thousand miles. Made it an easy trip with plenty of time to stop and check out anything that caught my interest.

I did meet two other Goldwings - a 1500 and an 1800 at the end of the Gunflint Trail. They were going around Lake Superior.

No issues on the trip from the Goldwing, other than I bottomed out twice on the rear shocks.. Air pressure was fine. I may need to rebuild the shocks and check to see if the springs are still in spec.

Looks like a nice trip. Did you stay in tent every night? Looks like a cabin there.

Stayed in a tent three nights.

For the fourth night, I splurged and had a camper cabin rented at a state park. I didn't doublecheck though, and it was a non-electric camper cabin, which kind of crimped my plans.

I had everything packed on the bike, including breakfast and dinner. (I did eat out for lunch.)

got tired of sitting around the house so with the three stoogers still on i rode to Belle Isle, stopped on Livernois between Warren and Tireman for a pic of the sky. i made it home without getting wet

I built a motorcycle ramp for the work shed. Actually I took apart and reinforced the one I made last week because it bowed the first time I used it.
