    BaggerShield on the 1500

Just finished putting the BaggerShield on my bike today. Took it for a ride, and I swear to gawd, there's at least 27 more horsepower at the rear wheel! (well, at least it feels like it when my hair's blowing in the wind)

Got a couple of questions before the Jim Beam and Ambien kick in...

1st question: I have on my bike, with the best I can describe as "a buzz" when the engine is running between 1900-2100rpm or so. It's nothing I care about. I'm thinking it's the aftermarket exhaust harmonizing with the 25 year old fairing, and causing this buzz. Should I be looking for something...

Wanted!! Kuyrucyn (did I spell that right?) Left side highway board.

I bought the 1500 with it missing a couple of things on the left side. The main thing is the highway board. Here's a pic of the one on my right side: You can zoom in on the pix and see what I'm talking about. I don't have the other side. If anyone out there has one, of if anyone needs what I...

Where can a man find a shorty windshielf for my 1500 fairing?

I figured I would try it barhopping around Indianpolis, then toss the tall one on for the saddlesore rides we plan this summer. I need a cheap, smoked one...$50-$75 range... Anyhelp would be deeply appreciated!

    Hello from Pittsboro, IN...

I'M BACK!!1! Sold my old GL1100i back in 2010, and was riding a Victory for a couple of years. Now I found a GL1500, drove to Illinois to purchase it, and trailered it home in the rain. After unloading it, and drying it off, I thought to myself, "I wonder if that classic goldwings site still up...

We're Official Now! IBA SaddleSore 1000

I haven't been here in a while, and I apologize for that. After we sold the Goldwing, we bought a pizzeria in Plainfield, IN. It's been taking up all our free time, and just about the only time I have to ride is back and forth to the two jobs. One good thing out of it is, if any of you GWF...

Wasn't sure where to post this, but since this is the area I frequent the most... I sold my bike Saturday. Had to buy a car for my youngest, and this was what I sacrificed. I hope that hillbilly likes the damned thing! :smilie_happy: Oh well...

    SaddleSore 1000 Saturday, June 26

Well, me, the backrest, and the bike are heading out tomorrow morning on a SaddleSore 1000. Gonna leave Pittsboro, head to Nashville, then Memphis, up to St. Louis, then back to Pittsboro. About 1050 miles. I'm going to try to use a GPS tracker and have live tracking on the internet. It's...

The GW's gonna have a stable mate...

I had to do it dammit...bought me a 2003 Victory 92C. I wanted a bike like this for zipping around by myself, and found one. Now I have to make a road trip next weekend to Murrell's Inlet, SC to get it and ride it home. We had a SaddleSore 1000 scheduled for that weeked, so we might as well do...

    Ol' Tumunga's on the TV...

The family and I went on a poker run a couple weeks ago. There was a TV crew for the local biker show Steel Horse. Well, they saw my beautiful face and had to have me on their show. I'm sure the ratings went through the roof! I'm at the 1:55 mark if you just have to bask in all my beauty...

WTB - Front Caliper Shims and such

Hello - I noticed on my front calipers that they have none of the shims and clips for the brake pads. I started pricing them online from OEM sellers, and WOW!! I ain't a doin' that one. I was wondering if anyone had any of these lying around for an '80 GL1100. They have the single pistons. As...

Road King Mufflers on the 1980 GL1100

Well, got 'em on. Had my friend Jim come over and do the welding for me...I didn't have a clue! My welds looked like bird poop. I took some pictures of the brackets on the right side while we were cutting and welding. I used the stainless flex pipe, and a couple of exhaust pipe adapters, to...

Single Carb Setup...(or let the flaming begin! :o) )

Ok, while checking out https://www.goldingwingfacts.com, I found this: https://ldwingnut.com/default.aspx I showed it to the backrest, and she said get it if I want it. The guy builds the intake, and has it setup for a Volkswagon single barrel carb. Bolt on, no cutting or fitting. Uses your...

    Bow down everyone...."The DAN HACK!"

I think this nice little hack got lost in the big bang, so while showing pictures of new bike lift, I thought I'd repost these. Dan can give the story behind the hack...I don't believe I'm worthy:

Just wanted to show you all how to lift your GoldWing...

I got tired of crawling around doing the work I was doing on the bike this winter, so I took a trip to Harbor Freight, and found this thing for $100. It raised the bike 30" off the floor, and is pretty solid. My wife don't trust it, but hey, what do girls know!!1!. Here's some pics for you all...

    1100 carb jet size

It's warming back up in Indiana to the 30's, and I'm getting ready to finish pulling off all the parts off the bike that I'm going to be working on. One of the things I want to do is decrease the jet size in my carbs. The bike runs nice, but only gets about 35 mpg. It was getting 39-41mpg before...
