Went for a Sleigh ride with my Wife , Son, Daughter-inlaw & and my 2 1/2 yr old Granddaughter. The driver even let my Granddaughter drive the team :good: :good: :good:

Unscheduled trip to the dentist. Had a tooth bringing me out of the chair when cold drink hit it. Turns out it had a small cavity at the gum line going in to an old Navy amalgam in the center. Then to pick up antibiotics and home. USPS brought carb kit for my old chain saw and I got started assembling it, hope to finish it and try it tomorrow.

its still 50f and while I didn't get out on the Mighty CT 70 I did finish putting up Christmas lights. I took a couple twist ties and closed the gap between the red and white net lights and put a string of lights on the right side of the awning, done

Yesterday I shoveled us out (again!), took the truck out, topped it off with Stabil, filled it up, parked it for the winter, and dropped insurance.

Then I finished drying all my motorcycle jackets and pants, stuck the armor back in, and hung them up for the season.

Still need to wash the helmet liner.

picked my sister Vicky up from the shop, she had to drop her cage off to have new struts installed. I took her to breakfast after dropping her cage off

Finally got off my procrastinating butt and ordered a front wheel bearing/hub for the car.

Decided not to totally cheap out and went for a brand that I could at least google.

Not sure why I can't just buy the bearings separately. I'd rather trust bearings I can order from a name-brand manufacturer than a cheap part made in China. Maybe something about the hub makes it difficult to remove and reinstall bearings.

Oh well, it only cost me $50. Now, to wait for the parts to arrive and a warmer day...

Replaced the cam gear in a 87 4cyl Fiero with the motor in the car. 6 hours of disassembly to get the cam out, 20 minutes to press the old gear off and a new one on. Now about 8 hours to put every thing back together. Chilton's labor guide said 9 hours to do it, and it didn't lie.

Next up: daughters 86 Interstate. She started it to warm it before moving it into the shed for winter storage. It ran about 10 minutes, said "Clunk", and quit. Haven't tried to restart it yet due to low battery.

It's always something!!

Sorry to hear that, William. I thought you had turned the corner on that foot. Must be the cold weather…
Same here William, I thought you were on the mend and improving. I hope you get better soon!

it has been like a roller coaster, up and down. today I feel pretty good and thanks guys

Spent another day on and under that 87 Fiero!! Rusty brake and transmission cooler lines leaks, rear caliper not getting brake fluid, etc. Murphy (and 32 years) have been rough on this car. Emergency brake is cam-driven that locks the rear pistons with a screw action. Easy to set, horrible to get to release. Goldwings are much simpler!

Tomorrow means fixing the rusty lines, getting the rear caliper to work correctly, bolting down the intake manifold, and plugging everything back together so we can try to start it. A good time will be had by all!!

I'm lazy. The new wheel bearing arrived today, just brought it inside to warm it up. That's it.

Slightly worried about removing the old one. 15 years of salted winter roads are nasty on a car.
