Starting 2 weeks of vacation. Will spend 16 days in one bedroom doing demolition (slat & plaster walls) and reconstruction. My house was built about 1900; retrofitted with electrical. 1 2-prong outlet and a pull-string overhead light. I'll take it down to the studs, proper electric and insulation, replace the windows, sheetrock, strip stain & polyurethane the floors, trim and paint. I think I'm the only man in America that looks forward to going back to work to physical labor.

got home from henry's about 15:20 then watched " the rifleman " until 16:00. went out and put new handlebar knobs on the golden turd, while wiping it down it decided to take a nap

Drove the daughter's Suzuki SX4 to Johnson City (122 miles) to have the power steering pump replaced under a recall. Light rain both ways. Tiring, but got it done for her. Stopped at Harbor Freight for some supplies on the way home.

The license plate tabs for 2020 have been slowly trickling in, and I've got them for all three motorcycles now.

Itching for a ride, but while most of the streets are bare pavement, we still have plenty of icy spots.

More progress on Johnny 5. Really held back by things needing painted, now. Might start next week on the seat mods (modifying a K&Q to allow and standard seat cover to fit).

I went out a little while ago to put the exhaust on the golden turd but its too cold and there is too much snow on the ground to get the installation done but I hung it on to see what it will look like

Hit the magic temperature with low humidity (for about three hours), so I got some paint on parts. Not all, but enough that I can make some progress later this week!

Rode Val to Springwood on Saturday for coffee with the VJMC members. Almost didn’t make it there due to the washouts currently in the DD. When I got back home I elected to leave Val downstairs so that I didn’t have to make another trip back down the DD as I wanted to ride Val again today. Hopefully we won’t be getting too much more heavy rain soon and we will be able to get the driveway cleaned up properly again.

High today was 47F. Next weekend, we'll finally hit 50F for the first time this year.

With the fast melt, we're getting some impressive puddles. Part of the patio has standing water on it, but with the slope of the patio, at least this year the water is well away from the foundation. Guess this means I have to run the rest of the line for the patio drain once the ground thaws - should be about 30' - 40' of pipe needed.

Still haven't heard anything back about the Virago my wife is trying to buy.

Trailered the sled about 2 miles to a friends farm to take advantage of what little snow we got this year, the fields were pretty bare , had to pick and chose your way . Not even 10 miles on her this winter, been a while since we had a mild winter like this. St. Patty's Day is a coming , should get some riding snow by then we hope

If you have any questions about the Virago or need parts let me know (I have 3 of them)
