Crawled under the truck this evening to see how much rust repair I'll have to do on the rockers so it will pass inspection here in Pa. :beg: :beg: :beg:

I'm so happy Minnesota doesn't have inspections, even if that means I hear a few noisy cars now and again.

Did crawl under my car yesterday to try to figure out the noise/vibration issue - not much slack in the inner CV joint. Maybe the right half-axle is going bad - wondering if I should just bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Wish we didn't have it here either, but what ya gonna do ? Pulled the wheels tonite to check brakes Wow there are still good ( that's a first) couple of small holes on the inner fenders on the bed , won't be to big of a deal then I should be ready :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

A PO had mounted a '79 tail light on my '78 project, but without the '79 turn signals - just the stalks. And, there's rust in places. So, I cut the "tangs" off and spun inserts on the lathe tapped 10x1.25 - same as a pair of signals that I had left over from previous work. Then used abrasive plastic wheel to remove rust, loose chrome, and rough-up remaining chrome. I taped off the chrome that remains good (most of the visible chrome is Ok) and put it in the pile awaiting weather for painting.

Mini trail bikes are awesome! Im a T-bird nut aswell..... there could be a pretty special Thunderbird spotted in some of my photos too. sadly, nobody knows what it is.

once home from henry's I moved the safari minivan so I could put the trash bin out at the curb. then I went to the garage so I could measure the kickstand on both CT 70, the one on the gold bike seemed longer but both are the same length. seeing that I had a clear path out of the yard I went riding, 34f

Got my first Tattoo
Congrats! Healed pictures are a MUST!!!! I was just feeling the urge this evening to get more ink, but I really have no idea what or where.

Anyway, today I just scrubbed the project's front wheel with Comet and rinsed it. Maybe the rear tomorrow. Need painting weather badly.

Funny rotor a bit rusty ...haven’t been using front brake much but it’s working fine now with new master brake lever...time to put it on...

Pretty sure that once I rode a Goldwing. Have an object sitting in the corner of the garage that looks like a Goldwing.

Alas, spring can't come soon enough.

I did manage to break a least one shear bolts on my neighbors' snowblower. For those of you not in the land of ice and snow, the tines on a snowblower have shear bolts so that if they hit something nasty, the bolts break instead of the transmission. Replacement bolts ran me $5 each locally - if it was my snowblower, I'd buy some grade 2 bolts and call it good, but since it is the neighbor's snowblower, I did it right. They've had enough problems as it is lately.

Honestly not much. I've had a crick in my neck for days and it keeps me from feeling like doing anything. Took a muscle relaxer and cleaned the rear wheel for the project, and a little more on the swing arm and drive. If it eases off tomorrow I want to finish prepping the engine for paint. Once I get it on its side for finishing cleaning the bottom, I'll leave it leaned over until the bottom has been painted and has cured.

Just another skill to learn. Trouble is, it is different on every forum and system. You can use a camera and download to a known folder on a computer, or email yourself a photo from your phone camera. Then download it to a known folder. Then add it to your gallery on here. There is a tutorial for that in the General section.

Are you a Turtle?

Without an engine hoist or some overhead lift, thought the easiest way to get to the bottom for cleaning/prepping/painting is to just roll it over. On the Hunley, I didn't have the heads on it so it could be rolled on each side. Valve and belt covers will be polished when the painting is finished. The heads will be masked and not painted.
