Ordered some new speakers for the front of the 1500 yesterday. Got the Polk Audio DB501 set. The right front on it has been buzzin, fuzzin out long enough...tired of tryin to lissen to it. Rears are still workin...just can't hear them at hiway speeds. Hope the new ones will sound a lil clearer....

i rode out this morning to find some of the flooded roads around the city but got lazy so i went down the street in Dearborn for a mural and then out to hines park, it always closes because of flooding when it rains hard

Hear you on that, but you do have a lot of good material. My daughter would be good at it, and has done some minor writings. She also writes and records her own music, not bad for an Officer in our Armed Forces, and a supply/finance person as well.

As for myself, bike rides and projects put on hold, installed an attic ladder in the garage, easier to use then trying to get into the attic over top of the washer/dryer:

Took this year's project '76 RD400c to a show and won Antique class. Don't know if that refers to the bike or me.

Hey you stole my bike! :) The 76 RD400C was my first street bike and wicked quick for the time. In my neighborhood nothing could touch it until the KZ650 came out.

Before the RD there were the Suzuki x6 huslers 250cc. For there time they were untouchable also

Had a 1972 Suzuki 250 Hustler:

110 mph downhill with a tailwind.

I bought a 76 RD400c brand new in Geneva Green. This bike was a nostalgia exercise for me.

Sent from my moto g power (2021) using Tapatalk
Mine was 2nd hand in 78 from the original owner who was a clean freak. It was LIKE NEW. It was the Red with a small passenger backrest and rack. I don't recall it having painted mag wheels or if they were tubeless. It was a work vehicle for me. I was a kid putting on Cedar Shake roofs all over the mid Atlantic centered near Dulles Airport. Must have had 30lbs of tools and of course squidly shorts and tank tops in summer:) When your 16 your invulnerable!

Brought home an abandoned '82 gl1100 project! The seller had started to build a bobber and realized now was not the time for such an extensive endeavour. This means I'll be reading all the single carb conversion threads because it came with a type IV manifold, a carter/weber progressive carb (new) and an Empi 34 P3 vw style carb (almost new). Unfortunately there are no honda carbs, too bad 'cause I have good luck with those! After the engine runs, I have to decide what to do about the missing rear frame sections. It's all part of the adventure.

I went riding again today, and each ride gets better. The bike is running real good with the 34-3 carb. At 60 MPH twisting the grip is like hitting passing gear.

I also installed the Ride-off stand I got from BIB (from the Slabghost estate).

Later, Bud...
