Be interesting to know what parts your interchanging
Mainly some of the linkage parts that are missing on the '77 rack (bushings and washers), plus the slow air jets as the '77 rack has a mixture. I figure having all 120s is better than one 110, two 120s, and a 130. Would have been nice to use the whole 769A rack, which looked to be untouched original, but it had been destroyed by corrosion inside. Only one body had the chance to be reused. I was also able to pull the float valve bodies (destroying them as I did) so that I can soak off the filter screens. I have the float vale soaking too, just on the chance I can get the crud off and use them. I have them in CLR.

Update - the CLR did a great job on the filter screens and float valves.

Very Nice, post up with pics when you've put it together :beg:
I don't think i'm going to put it together unless I get another model, I would like to leave one boxed
got out this morning, had to go to the shop that installed the radio in my club wagon. the mic for the blue tooth wasn't picking up my voice, it wasn't plugged in all the way so a simple fix. from there I went over to the nut and bolt store but they only had half the acorn nuts that I needed. I also stopped at the hardware store, no luck with the acorn nuts but I did get a few keys cut and some drain cleaner. I stopped at a restaurant near home to get breakfast but they were not open. got a line on another CT 70 thats not running, hope to go get it by the weekend

I left henry's and drove over to HFH so I could set up an appointment for an MRI on my back, the lady at the front desk said I had to call in to make the appointment so I took the number and left. I get in the van and turn the key and the starter spins but doesn't engage the flywheel. I got the van started on the second try then drove to autozone and picked up a starter, made a quick stop at the bank, then drove to my buddy's shop to have the starter installed

I finished conduit supports and labeling on a 480 V 3 phase transformer disconnect I relocated yesterday, then I added a quad outlet in the open ceiling for a spring-wound cord reel for the technology guys.
I think tomorrows work is light. I'm glad it's Friday, I tired.

Finally went for a ride on the Rats Nest for the first time since before Christmas. It was a Friday night VJMC ride to the TT Diner in Archerfield. Got there just on dusk which was just starting to cool off after a high humidity and temp day. Didn’t take any photos of our bikes or the gang but have uploaded some generic pics from the web.

I've done nothing except job hunt over the last week. Tiring work.

Pretty sure I've nailed giving my spare email address to all possible job board spammers.

The main reason I went to the TT Diner on Friday night is that there was a storm forecasted for later that night so I figured with my driveway I wouldn’t be able to go to Springwood for coffee on Saturday. Luckily all we received was a pretty good thunderstorm where about 30klms away ended up with 65mm of rain in just under an hour. So the Rats Nest was able to have a second outing so that I could have a coffee with VJMC members. :good:

Went to club meeting at the Time Warp Tea Room. Good guys there with a big collection of vintage bikes. We will have a show April 3&4 at Sevierville fairground, and one at Honda of Knoxville April 25th. Also, Pistol Pete is having a show & shine at Oak Ridge Garden Plaza Hotel April 27 - May 1.

Finally took the battery out of the Asppy for the winter, temp was dropping way down for a couple days in a row, so that was the time to do it. Took a day and a half for the trickle charger to brinf it back up.

At last minute had to take my daughter to work so I could run out to Ventura to give my son the spare key to his truck. They turned everything over to find the key. Turned out it was in one of the girls purse...hmm lol.

Crazy too, we drove right by on the 101 freeway just a few minutes before Kobe’s helicopter went down.

a cold 34f, the wind chill has to be around 25f. I rode around to the park but all the snow has melted

Crawled under the truck this evening to see how much rust repair I'll have to do on the rockers so it will pass inspection here in Pa. :beg: :beg: :beg:

I'm so happy Minnesota doesn't have inspections, even if that means I hear a few noisy cars now and again.

Did crawl under my car yesterday to try to figure out the noise/vibration issue - not much slack in the inner CV joint. Maybe the right half-axle is going bad - wondering if I should just bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Took the tail light off of the rear fender for the '78. It is a '79 that someone had drilled extra holes in the fender to mount it. And it doesn't have the turn signals to fit the stalks - they had drilled out the holes and had crappy aftermarket lights screwed to it. Thinking about grinding the welds to remove the tangs and tack in some nuts to accept better looking aftermarket signals. Anyway,, with it off I beat out a kink that looked like they had backed it into something, then took vinegar and aluminum foil to the rust on it, the front fender, and the tail light mount. Looks pretty good now. Not all of the rust off, but certainly all of the stain and mold buildup. Took the tail light apart and cleaned it up inside, cleaned the connections. Then I sprayed Dow Bathroom Cleaner (Scrubbing Bubbles) on parts of the engine, scrubbed it in with a nylon detailing brush, and wiped it off. Got maybe 25% done. The bottom will no doubt need Gunk, but that will have to wait for warmer weather. Sunday and Monday are forecast for lower 60s, maybe then.

while installing new skids on my toro 824 last year I broke one of the bolts that holds the skids on, today I replaced the broken bolt. seeing that the work on the toro didn't take as long as I thought I did a little work on the gold CT 70. I installed the side stand and seat hinge, I still got a chill working about 45 minutes in 29f weather, the seat came from the red CT 70
